Bobcats will amnesty him to create space to sign Al Jefferson.

I wouldnt mind him for the minimum if he clears the waivers. No one doubts his talent and athletic ability and with good coaching he could be a nice spark, defender, rebounder off the bench.

Would the Spurs need to cut Bonner to get under the cap (along with resending Neals offer) and get in position to claim him?

He's 6'10 can jump out the gym and block shots. He can rehab his stock with his contender like Blatche.

yessir, because we have splitter and manu cap holds... we need him to go unclaimed and sign him as a fa

Bidding on Thomas reduces the chances of signing another competent free agent, so definitely no.

I get him confused with Anthony Randolph. Which is the one who occasionally insists on playing point?

Guess you have not seen him play lately..Me neither, cause he is averaging around 40 games a year over the past 5 seasons. Guy is finished and by the way, he's only averaged a little over 1 block shot per game in his career (not that great, sorry)

He can't stay healthy and even when he is healthy he still can't play his way into the rotation of the mighty Charlotte Bobcats.

The Bobcats kept trying to use him as a small-forward frequently last season, so that's probably why he was damn bad. I'm not sure how much he will contribute to the Spurs. He's strictly a power-forward and the Spurs need more of combo-forward. And there's the issue of Thomas not being as athletic as he was four years ago and his questionable to non-existent basketball I.Q.

Don't think he would be better than Baynes tbh, pass.

TT couldn't even get minutes on the Bobcats team the past 2 seasons ... come on. He won't even get picked up by a team in China.

Thomas would have been a great addition 3 years ago when most of us wanted him, but he has been a horrible player since his torn meniscus, tbh..his athleticism has faded following the injury, which has rendered him virtually useless, tbh..

He's not 6-10, he's 6-8.25 in shoes when measured out in the combine.

Thomas was just fine in Charlotte before they made (or tried to make) him a small forward. It was all downhill after that, which isn't his fault. He still has some defensive/shot-blocking/rebounding chops when utilized correctly, and the Spurs could use a situational defensive 4 off the bench. For the vet minimum he'd be an excellent signing.

He was 19 years old at the combine. He wasn't done growing. He may not be 6-10 but he sure as hell isn't 6-8.25 in shoes.

Thomas's struggles have little to do with a positional change, tbh..

He saw a SEVERE drop-off following the torn meniscus..he hasn't been the same player, not even close..

Oh yes it does. And the position change struggles were amplified by the injury because he was playing further away from the basket and in space instead of banging in the paint.

Bring him to camp or summer league. You never know. Get him around a good team with good players.

No jinx but it'll turn out to be another Brand-to-Philly type of signing imho. Thomas was a wonder kid when he was playing in Chicago. A potential superstar fell before even flourished :depressed

Tyrus Thomas is in San Antonio training, he's attempting a comeback. Fuck it cut Errors/Daye ... Although I'd rather them sign JaMychal Green over all of them tbh

:lol...I had forgot all about the Bulls trading Aldridge for him. That's a Blazers level fail and they are the ones that fleeced them.
