I hope it's much better than the 2003 DVD. I'll only be able to catch the first half of it, but I should know from that if it's worth shelling out $20 for. If it's production level is anything like the 99 one it's a no-brainer, but if it looks like it was just a bunch of crap thrown together like the last one I'll pass.

Baseline - judging by the list of features, it looks even more shitty than the 2003 one. It only has the fourth quarter of the finals game seven. Which is shit because the third quarter was when Duncan came alive. I'll wind up buying it, but I'm not expecting greatness, or even mediocrity with this one.

I don't really care about stuff like that since I have H.264 encoded HDTV rips of all the important games (except game 6 vs Seattle), but I want the main content to be as good as the 1999 video. Even with the closeout 4th quarters on the 2003 DVD I still think the 1999 version was way better.

Maybe they're saving this stuff for their NBA Dynasty series. For example, now Philadelphia has a Dynasty series DVD even though the only titles I can recall right off hand are 83 and 68.

Shut up! You're bringing my hopes down! I never got the 03 one, and I spent 20 bucks on this one hoping it will be the first of many in my collection :)

I thought they show highlights of all the games throughout the season and backstage interviews and stuff. How long was the 03 DVD?

Where did you find the list of features? If it only has one fourth quarter then it sounds like it does indeed suck. :depressed

Somebody posted a scan of the back of the DVD case - I read all the features they listed and it wasn't too impressive.

Damn, Manu was just sick in that Seattle series.

I also remember being up in Indy for that Game#6 and I had just gotten back to my hotel from the IND/DET game right as Duncan went down holding that foot. I thought I was going to puke when he was laying there on the floor.

i've got the 02-03 dvd but keep hearing how it sux compared to 99. i think i saw the 99 broadcast on espn2 one day, and the two seemed on par with each other. what was 02 missing that everyone wanted and what did 99 have that impressed everyone so much? and what are you looking for out of the 04 one, aside from the clinching 4th quarters, which rocked but are apparently absent from this go around?

I still can't fucking believe Timmy missed that tip in in Game #5 at the buzzer of regulation.

Horry was awesome though. Simply amazing.

I've seen that 3 from Horry about 250 times and every single times it's like seeing it for the first time all over again.

I was impressed. It was way better than the 2003 DVD IMO.

The 2003 DVD seemed like a bunch of random highlights thrown together. The 99 video was awesome because they did a great history of the franchise, the narrartion was better, and more of the big moments were captured in it than in the 2003 version. I only saw from the Seattle series through game 5 of the Finals of the 2005 DVD, but overall I was very impressed by it. I loved the part where they showed how close Pop and his players are, how Brent Barry talked about Pop knew exactly when to light his players up and when to give them a hug... stuff like that. It had a lot of fresh content IMO. The 2003 DVD looked like a bunch of crap from Sportscenter. Of course, if you're looking for game action 2003 blows 2005 away pretty badly.

I just watched it and it seemed pretty good. Is what aired on DirecTV identical to the DVD or are there more features on the DVD? I'm really going to miss not having the clinching 4th quarters. :depressed

Nice video. Not enough of the PHX series, though.

Tim and Pop both say this Championship was the sweetest.

I really enjoyed the series ending 4th quarters from the 2003 DVD....me too!
esp that portion when The Coyote after embracing Duncan went to SJax and extended his hand to congratulate him. But, SJAx was so busy shouting to the crowd pointing his hand on the "Spurs" logo on his jersey, didn't see the Coyote standing by his side :lmao Poor Coyote(Tim Derk?).:lmao

and, that portion when Coach Pop told his players in the locker room "wait a minute, i really want to talk about that 1st qtr............, but Steve Kerr pour the champagne on him :lmao
