He's gonna bring up how he quit on Charlotte, the worst team in existence, and how Jackson quit as well (more than twice, he quit on the Warriors, Bobcats, Bucks, and he kinda quit on his team this season as well). Like any of us give a shit :lol

Shaq quit the Lakers, the Magic, the Suns, etc. He got out before Kirby killed off Phil Jackson though, then Kirbs Begged for him to return to the bench. Jim Buss also quit, for reasons you can figure out on your own.

Your Kobe. Your god. The "heir to MJ" quit in game freakin 7 against Nash and your suns. Nash proceeds to quit on your suns to join the lakers. He then quits on the lakers against the loathed Spurs leading to the sweep. In the offseason, Dwight quit and you resort to bringing back Odom, a former quitter. There's no competition, really. Quitting has scarred your basketball fanhood and is a part of who you are, which is why you quit spurstalk only to return when the coast is clear. You didnt even return after 6.

Makes sense. It's not like the Lakers have any money to spend on any actually good players, and they really have no assets to make a trade unless they deal Pau. It's not like they have many options. He fits D'antoni's offense better than Dwight obviously and has a comfort level with Kobe and Pau. Still not a move that should do anything significant to help the Lakers except for the fact that if it's not Odom, then it probably would have been an even worse player in the Lakers frontcourt rotation.

Wouldn't mind having LO back, but we won't have enough $ to bring him back - given how things ended with the Lakers' FO trading him. This is even despite the fact that he'll start and get more mpg as a Laker. Not holding my breath.

People, look at Billips' career after his Achilles injury. THERE IS NO CAREER. It's just laughable to me how the Lakers FO and Laker fans think Bryant is going to come back and be any kind of player. He's nothing but a fadeaway jump shot machine anyway. Yes, he's probably eating every PED he can get his hands on, but still...it's only going to get uglier. Yet they let him in the romance room with Dwight. It's truly astonishing.

And Nique came back and averaged 29.9 ppg in 71 games his next season (that was 20 yrs ago), what's your point? Beckham came back 6 months after his achilles rupture, other athletes have done this stuff too...

It's ridiculous to point at an example from 20 yrs ago and say "well, some athlete back then (before people even used the Internet) had the same injury and it ended his career" and say that it will be the same 2 decades later. Technology has advanced big time and with the PEDs and baby fetuses he's injecting he will be playing like himself in the season opener.
