I'm seriously dying on the floor laughing.

I turn around and look and LJ's monitor had smoke pouring out of the top and was sizzling. The whole room smells of burning wire.

Seriously, that sucks.

I would be pissed if my monitor started smoking.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

I loved that monitor. I kept it spotless by wiping it down every day. There are no marks on it and has been crystal clear. Flat screen with no glare.

:cry

I don't know whether to try to turn it back on or let it die a respectable death. It had a good run. It got me to where I wanted to go.

Now all that is left is the smell of burnt wires and a plume of smoke.

You can't turn it back on. I'm sure it was on fire inside. It was sizzling more than Big Zak making BBQ.

Warranty?

No idea. You never suspect something like this would happen. One day they're here and the next day they're gone.

This is a sad day. I pour out a little liquor for my fallen homey.

Well, how long ago did you get it?

Hmm.. I think under two years.

Hmm.. I think under two years.

If you bought it new (and not new out of Mouse's trunk), you should have a warranty.

I had a monitor for two years from KDS and I had a replacement within two days when it went out on me. It's been almost two years since with no problems on the new one.

No, we have four computers in the same room.

I think we bought it from Best Buy.

I've moved on to one of the other computers in the room.

It's not the same, though.

*Shudder*

You really should have a warranty on it then.

Possible causes for monitor melt down:

Build up of screen cleaner on cooling fan blades resulting in overheating.

Mouse tried to make a "harddrive stasher" out of your monitor when you weren't looking.

Does JohnnyBLAZE have an alibi?

That room in the house has the AC vents closed, and with 4 pcs running 24/7 you can bake bread in that room , that and that monitor stays on 24/7 for two years straight? you do the math,
