Unbelievable the difference between the current Laker team and the Lakers of old... Respect to 1997-1998 from a Spursfan

Damn, it's been so long I've already forgotten how fun the late 90s Laker teams were. Kirby was a role player and Daddy was doing his thing, they had like 10 all-stars as well one year.

NBA would have benefited from a Lakers-Bulls Finals that year instead of that choking faggot Karl Malone doing his shit again.

That it why talent is not the end all be all those Laker teams with soo much talent with Kobe as a role player kept getting swept. They had more talent than 3 peat Lakers. But had no Phil, Kobe was not in his prime Shaq was not focused until Phil came ... And we needed the vets like Grant, Harper, Hunter and Shaw to lead our young stars.

...even then we were on the precipice of a catastrophic event in Oregon when Kobe grabbed some jacks & timbers and started back down.
