Juding by his unconvincing smile, the handshake that Twitter troll James O'Brien received from one of his victims yesterday may have been a crunching one.
Mr O'Brien said sorry to professional boxer Curtis Woodhouse on live TV after taunting him online for eight months.
The internet troll previously thought he was untouchable as he sent abusive messages to celebrities.

But he got the shock of his life when the boxer he had been mocking turned up on his street looking for him.
When the fighter lost his English light-welterweight title, Mr O'Brien could not resist winding him up. 'Ha ha you lost ... fight a 10-year-old next time,' he tweeted. 'You put so much effort in, sacrificed all that time and failed to defend your Mickey Mouse title,' he wrote, before calling the former Birmingham City footballer a 'disgrace'.
That was the final straw for Mr Woodhouse, 32. He offered £1,000 to any of his Twitter followers who could give him the troll's address.

Within minutes, he had it and he drove more than 60 miles from Hull to Sheffield where he tweeted a photograph of Mr O'Brien's street.
'Right Jimbob, I'm here!!! Someone tell me what number he lives at, or do I have to knock on every door? #itsshowtime.'
Faced with a real person rather than a flickering computer screen, a sheepish Mr O'Brien quickly backtracked. He tweeted: 'I am sorry it's getting a bit out of hand. I am in the wrong. I accept that.'

Feud over: The pair chatted about their spat on Lorraine Kelly's show - and Mr O'Brien was keen to admit his mistake
Yesterday the humiliation of the Twitter troll, who is also said to have sent bullying messages to Victoria Beckham and Davina McCall, was complete as he apologised to the boxer on national television.
Sitting next to the 11-stone fighter on the ITV Daybreak sofa, an embarrassed Mr O'Brien said he had 'let everyone down'.
After he apologised, the pair shook hands and a gracious Mr Woodhouse said: 'It takes a big man sometimes to say sorry and I've done plenty of daft things in my time, so your apology is accepted.'
Explaining his behaviour on Twitter, Mr O'Brien said: 'I was really childish. Looking back on it, I realised that I had done a wrong thing. I can only offer my deepest apologies to anyone I ever abused on Twitter.'
Mr Woodhouse, who became a boxer after retiring from professional football, said he decided to act after seeing how worried his wife was about the abuse.
He said: 'I was sat on the sofa with the wife on Monday and she's seen this abuse and it scares her.
'We don't know who this guy is, I don't know if he's being serious or not. I simply thought enough is enough, I am going to put a stop to this right now.'

You don't have to be badass to not apologize. What would he have done, beat me up? He dug his own grave by putting all of the evidence on twitter, he can't be stupid enough to throw himself in jail like that

Apparently he didn't care about digging his own grave, and used the internet in assisting his goal(s). You have to realize that some people don't give a shit, and will beat the fuck out of you or maybe worse. And if that was you, and not the guy that apologized, do you really think he would've driven all the way out to your residence just to show face?

The internet isn't as anonymous as people like to think it is. People think they can be an all powerful, say whatever they want sort of person. Then all of sudden, there happens to be someone who will pull your card. Then you have to be held responsible for your actions. Some people take things literally, or interpret things differently than you intend. Believe me when I tell you, there are plenty of people who will go to jail to prove a point.

Boxer is dumb tbh, if I was trolling someone online and they showed up at my house i would grab the equalizer. Horsing around online doesn't justify real life assault/murder/whatever the person is trying to do. Boxers a dumbass for getting trolled tbh and lucky he didn't get handled showing up to someone's house like that.

My point is that if that was me I wouldn't hesitate having my gun pointed at his head the moment he shows up on my door step in case he actually tries something. My justification is right there in his own tweets. It doesn't have to be a gun, a bat would suffice.

It's not about being "all powerful" and I CAN say whatever the fuck I want. A normal person would know that and wouldn't waste their time like this jackass

Yeah, sure, exactly. Never said you couldn't say it, I just predicted someone would say it. And they can feel free to predict the future. And they can tell me how prepared and how effectively they would handle the situation. To me, it's hilarious that's why I laughed at the anticipation of such a response. Hell, it's STILL funny :lol I think the internet chest pump is comical. I may be guilty of it, and I can and probably will do it and will be able to go back and laugh at myself. And know, that some people interpret the internet as if it's a standard conversation at the office, or somewhere on the street.

You're not saying I'm chest bumping, are you? Chest bumping would be to say something like "I'd kick his ass if he ever showed up around me!" I know I'd get my ass kicked. I'm saying it doesn't take much to beat someone with a bat or shoot someone in the leg if they're insinuating a physical confrontation at your house because I hurt his feelings.
