Kobe could have been replaced by Tmac, AI, Ray Allen, or any other star SG tbh. The outcome would have still been the same. The Lakers would still have three rings, maybe more with Ray Allen and Tmac.

Kobe Bryant had once proved to be an effective player on both sides of the court and his synergy with Shaq is a forgotten phenomenon. Kobe Bryant had being Shaq's Robin in his genes, he was everything needed to compliment Shaq. McGrady would not have given Shaq this same synergy and Iverson was not a team player.

Kobe Bryant is one of the, if not THE, greatest 2nd banana and if he had maintained that mentality he would have 6-7 rings.

How many rings would've Shaq have won with the prime t-mac? 3 or even more probably, the prime t-mac was just as good as Kobe and he wouldn't drive Shaq out of town so they would've won some more together from 04 onwards.
