I can't afford (not really) all those football magazines out there right now, I did purchase my favorite. I have however peeked at all the others as far as their picks go. The consensus...

Division winners

Texans
Pats
Broncos
Ravens and Bengals...yep.

Niners and Seahawks
Falcons
Packers
Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins....yep, seen them all winning the division. No outstanding team there, all in that 9-7/10-6 world.

I have to agree, it really is hard to get an accurate read on that division. There is no clear cut favorite or cellar dweller. I do see the NFC as the best divison in football, I don't expect to see a sub 500 team there and the division title not decided until the final couple weeks.

Oh yeah..

Niners vs Broncos

The consensus Superbowl match up.

So basically, the "consensus" is that every single team that made the playoffs last year will make it again (except possibly the NFC East champion, since no pick was given). Too bad that historically it has never once happened like that. Also, statistical history clearly states that the 49ers (the SB losers) will not make it back to the SB. It's so historically accurate in the past 20 years that it's almost written in stone. "Consensus" is like picking the chalk in horse racing. Chalks only win around 30% of the time. If we went back in history and looked at the expert's "consensus" pick to win the SB every year, I would be confident that they were right 30% or less of the time.

I do have a magazine on football betting..Marc Lawrence ..PLAYBOOK. In the mag, we find some pro gamblers and their picks for a Superbowl matchup, the consensus....Niners vs Broncos. Now here we have the guys who are all up in trends/stats. Some totally ridiculous. Who loses after playing who in the month of....hahaha!!!!

The Niners were one bad non call from winning it all, they will be even better this season. Kap far better, Boldin will replace Crabtree. Hunter and Mannigham will be back.

I'l go real slow, you can do this.

All teams have to deal with bad calls, but when it comes down to a Superbowl it's about that particular game...honest. The Niners get the obvious cal, they win.

You do know the Ravens got their share of bad/missed./in their favor calls.....right? All teams do...honest!

Regular season has nothing to do with it.... refs calling that obvious PI = Falcons in the Super Bowl barring a miracle, it's that simple....

As for bad calls in the Super Bowl, the Akers flop, the uncalled late hit on Flacco by Sopoaga, and Torrey Smith getting mugged by Colliver with no call stand out in my mind, tbh....

Anyway, how did this get blown out of proportion from an NFC East topic to 49'ers? Answer:The NFC East is the diva division, all it needs now is Tebow to complete the set.

You know, some refs may call it, others won't, just like their is divided opinion as to whether it was holding or not. I'm sure the 49'ers offense knew the refs were going to swallow their whistles on that last drive, going pass happy on the drive didn't help them out either.

Here's the thing though...when you're comparing two QB's who are pathetic you have to go by stats. Romo's are better. What's weird is the bad rep Romo has for being horrible in the 4th quarter when he has the best 4th quarter QB rating in the NFL, and the most 4th quarter comebacks. It's more of a first quarter problem. Either way, Romo's better than Rivers imo...not saying he's all that great, just better than Phillip.
