Move on with my life as a loss is not the end of the world.

Not sure if I ever would get past The Anger Faze! of Spur Fan Grief. I would make or bump 100s of Laker related threads and troll their fanbase to help ease the pain. :lol

The Spurs struck the template. We're watching & experiencing actual history.

then we're doing a pretty good job, all things considered. we might have a hard time getting over it, and compared to real world problems it's insignificant, but I think the Spurs fanbase has handled it about as well as you possibly can. No riots, no billboards, just gotta focus on the task at hand.

Your fandom's response has been tempered by the reality of the event. You weren't cheated or hoodwinked, nor slinged & arrowed. You weren't ridiculed during or after and you weren't indicted by Media. It was a cataclysmic loss, yes, but, a sterile one nonetheless. The enormity of the loss is more apparent upstairs then down here. "They" think we can't see up there, because their Champion, the Ellis Family has hamstrung the loyal opposition's response there. There is indeed a pall up there, and it's sobering. Perhaps it serves the sufferer to be teased & tormented like you are down here, lay open the gash, let it bleed, let us take that shaker next to the pepper one and shake it all about, Hell, that's what it's all about.

It's not like the spurs have zero titles and this loss is feeding into a "spurs are losers" stereotype or anything.

It's not like the Suns got to the finals and lost to make the count O & 49 or whatever.

Tbh, the spurs are probably the team whose legacy is least affected by losing a close finals series like this. Some reactionary gnsfs fail to grasp that, though.

Its not that you lost... its the way you lost. As Thread already said... you struck the template for this one. You'll get over Duncan being gay before you get over 6.

By "you," surely, you mean the heartbroken gnsfs upstairs. Because I and most rational spurfans were "over" losing the finals 24 hours after they ended. We bow to the superiority of The Kang. It's his NBA. Everyone else just plays in it.

In fact, it's hard not to look at the spurs season and say "wow, how the fuck did they make it that far?" Pretty impressive. Most importantly, they steamrolled a $100 million disaster and further tarnished the Laker legacy (given The Sweep and The Begging that followed, it's fair to predict that Kobe may not make the playoffs again in his career, whilst Duncan at age 37 not only made the playoffs, but the Finals, and took The Kang to seven hard-fought games).

I'm content, scro.
