Both have been linked to the Spurs. If the Spurs can get them both without losing any major assets, would we be a better team than last season?

Not really..mo is a bad defender ..oden doesn't play. How does either make the spurs better?

Williams wouldn't be a bad pick up for a backup.

Mo fills the Neal role. It is hard to find 2 way players and when you do you have to open up the wallet to get them. Oden has some upside and if monitored correctly could really help anchor the defense.

Mo can fill the Gary Neal role, but can unlike Neal can actually man the point, which is what Pop was trying to do

And you'd probably win that bet.

Mo Williams would improve the team, but as someone already said he's probably just going to Miami to be with LeBron if he's going to take a small salary to play for a "winner". I don't think we have the cap space to lure him anymore.

Oden, in THEORY he'd be good, but the odds of him not playing very much due to injury, and being gone for the season due to injury are insanely high. It's like 90% he won't play a single game in the postseason.

Mo could have replaced the Manu role as the sixth man, but the Spurs gave Manu that horrible contract. I still have no idea why they locked up Manu so early. Mo was horrible in Cleveland in the playoffs, but had a good showing with the LAC. I don't think he is signing with he Spurs or Heat. My guess some other contender will get him. Surprised Cleveland didn't go after him. Would have been good insurance for Kyrie. Played with Mike Brown before.

We have 14 guaranteed contracts, so I feel safe to say that we won't sign BOTH players.

If he doesn't improve this upcoming season, then his services are no longer needed and should retire ASAP.

The thread last I heard is about Oden and Williams. Can we please stay on topic? You've got plenty of threads to post your Manu/Pop hate BS redundancy, so please quit trying to turn this one into another one.
