It's hilarious how easy it is for Sonnen to get under his opponents skin. At this point you would think that people would realize it's an act, but it still works.
Sonnen is going to destroy Wandy.

He is not going through anything because GSP will use all his tools to keep him off balance. Johnny has never fought anyone close to GSP's level. As soon as he realizes that GSP can take him down he will get tentative with his power punching. And GSP will proceed to measure him from the outside, controlling the range.. Guaranteed.

Pretty much ^^^ this.
I expect DumbFuck to launch that blundering right hand, GSP to duck, double leg takedown, ass rape from the top. Rinse, repeat, 5 round UD. 45-50, 45-50, 47-48 (this is the UFC, after all)

db as always needs to defend his man :)
Well I just wanted to get your attention. Johhnys strategy seems to be more persuasive then Koschecks, as he is one punch KO master and he believes he can make it and that's always dangerous.
We are not hearing about GSP much lately. I think his prime time has passed a bit as other fighters getting more attention. he is top 3 on the p4p list but still ppl are not thinking about him as the best. To me it's interesting cause he had better competition then Anderson.
All in all I want GSP to punish Hendricks. And at least finish one frickin fight. Cause his latests fights were tough for him.

I actually think GSP may be a bit past his prime and with the retirement rumors swirling he could be retired in the next 2 years. But I think his intelligence and well rounded skills will get him another W here with Hendricks..

Hmm I'm not saying anything but I quote your prediction for another of your fighters you made earlier this year :)
Jones will test himself on the feet here a bit with Alex just to prove he can hang and then he will take him down and wreck Alex with his amazing GNP and subs. Jones VIA round 2 submission..

Georges St-Pierre (http://www.mmajunkie.com/fighters/georges-st-pierre) vs. Johny Hendricks (http://www.mmajunkie.com/fighters/johny-hendricks) - for welterweight title
Going with my gut here. Hendricks takes the belt. He's becoming a complete fighter and has ridiculous power, obviously. I think he catches St. Pierre.
_
Rashad Evans (http://www.mmajunkie.com/fighters/rashad-evans) vs. Chael Sonnen (http://www.mmajunkie.com/fighters/chael-sonnen)
I can't remember the last time Evans impressed me. Totally uninspiring fighter.
_
Robbie Lawler (http://www.mmajunkie.com/fighters/robbie-lawler) vs. Rory MacDonald (http://www.mmajunkie.com/fighters/rory-macdonald)
Rory continues his inevitable ascent to a title shot by smashing Lawler for 3 rounds.

Koscheck gets the stupid knocked out of him.

Alright here we go this is one of the best cards of the year..
Welterweight Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Johny Hendricks
One of the most dangerous and interesting fights in GSP's career. I think GSP will be able to wear Johny down with his pace and well rounded skills. GSP is the superior athlete where Johny is this powerhouse. GSP could get caught certainly but I think he will stay away from that left and win a fairly lopsided UD.. Please finish him GSP and shut up some of the haters..
Light Heavyweight Rashad Evans vs. Chael Sonnen
This is an extremely tough fight to pick. I think Rashad even though he looks past his prime has the style that will nullify what Chael does best and he should be able to outstrike Chael. That said it depends what Rashad shows up here. If the Little Nog Rashad comes to fight Chael will defeat him.
Welterweight Rory MacDonald vs. Robbie Lawler
I expect Robbie to have his usual problems with wrestlers here.. He got bye Kos but Rory is another level who likely will come in with the right game plan. UD IMO..
Welterweight Josh Koscheck vs. Tyron Woodley
Lose and get cut fight for Kos..
Flyweight Tim Elliott vs. Ali Bagautinov

GSP looked pissed on press conference as usual but on weigh-ins. Hmm strange. Looked hyped. We will see how he is gonna come out b4 the fight.
Georges St-Pierre vs. Johny Hendricks - for welterweight title
Once the fight was announced I said that it might be the easiest fight for GSP for a long time. But we will see. Johnny believes so much in him winning this that makes him so much dangerous. If he will be able to catch GSP with the punch I don't know how George will handle this. But if Hendricks not gonna do a harm for 2 rounds then he will have to win by wrestling. He is not dominant gnp though as Condit showed us.
I can't wait to see this fight.
Rashad Evans vs. Chael Sonnen
Shad is the favorite. No doubt about it. IMO he can take Sonnen down and Sonnen is not very good at defending himself on the ground. I can easy see this happening. Shad taking Chael down and finishing him with gnp. Fuck it. Sonnen is my man.
Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald
It's hard not to pick Rory. Robbie is dangerous though. But MacDonald feeds of ppl going forward.
Josh Koscheck vs. Tyron Woodley
In shape Kos will do it. He looked not that mentally ready during the weigh-ins though.
Ali Bagautinov vs. Tim Elliott
I was thinking about picking Tim in his next fight after his previous one but Ali is tough as hell and IMO Tim can underestimate the Russian and pay the price.
PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX Sports 1, 8 p.m. ET)
Donald Cerrone vs. Evan Dunham - last chance for Dunham to do some noise? /btw. How the hell Donald is able to go down to 145 as he said he will  /
Ed Herman vs. Thales Leites - Go Eddie !
Brian Ebersole vs. Rick Story - Hopefully the story of the fight will be a knockout on Brian.
Edwin Figueroa vs. Erik Perez - Who has more heart?
PRELIMINARY CARD (MMAjunkie.com, 6:45 p.m. ET)
Jason High vs. Anthony Lapsley - I'm not high on it
Vaughan Lee vs. Sergio Pettis - the bro is suppose to be as talented .. ?
Cody Donovan vs. Gian Villante - probably two of them all gonna fight

Georges St. Pierre v. Johny Hendricks - I'm going with my head over heart pick here. No matter how much I love watching Johny fight, GSP is just too good. You can't pick against him until he gives you a reason not to.
Rashad Evans v. CHAEL P. SONNEN - The Gangster from West Lin is unbeatable. TBH, though, this will be a very interesting fight between two talented wrestlers. Evans has the definite speed advantage, but I think that Sonnen has that "it" factor (although he didn't look that great at the weigh ins...)
Rory McDonald v. Robbie Lawler - Rory is a beast. Lawler is fun to watch, but this is an easy win for Rory.
Josh Koscheck v. Tyrone Woodley - Koshcheck is done and Woodley has all the tools to be a really good fighter so long as he keeps his head in the game.
Donald Cerrone v. Evan Dunham - It will be interesting to see how Cowboy fights at 145.

First of all Hendricks did enough to win the fight IMO..
He landed the harder shots and was able to basically wrestle GSP evenly.. GSP landed more total strikes but didn't do damage his inability to really outclass Hendricks with his wrestling was a big problem he had no top game in this fight.
Second of all GSP needs to retire IMO.. This was not the same guy that used to make the likes of Fitch, Alves, Hardy and Koshcheck look lost out there with his well rounded skills.. His mind is obviously elsewhere and this is not the game to be in when you are off thinking about other things..
Although the fight was close, I thought Hendricks did enough to win that fight. If a rematch is going to happen, Hendricks will finish GSP no doubt.

And the so called future Rory is not the future.. He is really over-rated.. If part of what was causing GSP to retire or think about it was this idea that Rory would take over for him he can forget that.. Rory has shown 2 things that are very troubling..
1- He can be very slow to pull the trigger at times..
2- He fades down the stretch.
Condit beat him early in his UFC career and while he is a better fighter now that is obviously still a problem..

3-2 on my picks, but Hendricks won that. BS call by the judges and GSP better not retire, a rematch needs to happen. GSP has been a great champ (possibly the greatest champ in UFC history), but Big Rig won that fight.
Also, Rory needed this fight to happen, he's coasted his last several fights and needed a wake-up call. I feel sorry for whoever he fights next because he's going to come out angry and absolutely destroy that guy.
Finally, Chael just seemed out of it - he needs to make a decision and either stay in the broadcast booth (where he is really good) or actually commit to fighting. That being said, I'm still stoked for the next Ultimate Fighter Brazil.

1 was close I am re-watching it right now. They both got a TD and spent time in the clinch.. Striking was about even on the feet in the center of the cage. Most of the damage done to GSP came in round 4 when he got tripped and ate some GNP. Round 5 GSP dug deep and pulled that one out. The fight is more competitive than people are saying. 3-2 is no robbery it is just that 3-2..

There were far worse decisions in mma so I felt relief after the call.
IMO GSP won rds 1,3,5 that said Johnny was ready to take the belt and GSP's gap as a better then all is gone. Hendricks is a bigger guy. While GSP is 190, 195 at best. Johnny walks around 210. Big strong dude with wrestling credentials and power in both hands almost dethroned St-Pierre. Unbelievable. I though GSP will be able to be faster and will be aware of the punches more. Hmm
maybe he was thinking about retiring too much and stuff, he seemed too relaxed b4 the fight.
I don't know. I haven't seen presser yet but Dana being pissed is understandable. GSP is money :)
All in all upsetting card.
Shad did to Sonnen what I thought he would.
Rory gotten beat down - but in that case it's all good. Cause Rory was too much in his hype.
I will maybe add more later as I have no time now. As still I was not watching it live, downloading the card in the middle of a day. Now I got to go to sleep.
btw. IMO Hendricks also lost to Condit, and I do not want his cocky ass as a champ.

I was actually shocked by Dana's post fight comments right from the start last night. I thought that he would play his usual card where he simply says I am not a judge and I don't score the fights but instead he really ripping the judging last night big time. He clearly has big time issues right now with this Nevada commission and that partially fueled his anger at the post fight press conference. That said GSP is his cash cow and I was pretty shocked to hear him openly talking so much about how he thought he lost the fight. Maybe he thought that would serve as just more hype for a rematch. It kind of sounds like GSP has family related issues maybe even health related issues with someone in his family. But Dana seemed confident after the press conference when he was giving interviews after he had spoken to GSP privately that GSP would fight again and all of this would basically blow over.
I am curious for those that say massive robbery how did you score it?.

It's actually 3-2 for Big Rig, but I understand why some people gave it to GSP. A rematch needs to happen, which I think will in the immediate future. The question now is this, how is GSP going to bounce back knowing that Hendricks' is his biggest kryptonite?

10 pts must system does not works many says. But IMO if the judges scored more like 10-10 rds and 10-8 and 10-7 it would look differently.
Also judging by Pride rules that based on whole fight seems to be better.

When Johnny hits he hurts ppl. GSP not.
GSP always was quicker and was staying away from hits. It's not the case now. I thought he will avoid that big of a damage. But 3 last fights it was not looking as good as it should.
Maybe his problems are messing his head and he comes to the cage with the problems or after that knee injury he is not able to move as good.
Either way probably White will force the rematch and GSP can be finished and probably retire on a bad note ... :(

Yeah, Round 1 was close, and the reason most people thought that the decision was highway robbery was because Hendricks really won his rounds, while GSP just out-pointed in his rounds. So based on the UFC scoring system, this wasn't robbery, it just looked that way.
Granted, my immediate impression was robbery, I just had to think about it a bit and re-watch the fight a couple of days later to come to a different conclusion.

I think it's the fact that Hendricks so CLEARLY won rounds 2 and 4, while GSP barely won rounds 3 and 5, with 3 clearly being the only round that he won outright by any margin. So you basically have two rounds that were solidly for Big Rig and one round that was decently for GSP. Then you have two rounds where, at best, GSP scraped by.
All you have to do is look at the faces of the fighters after the fight. Hendricks HURT GSP, AND outstruck him, while GSP was on defense most of the fight and never seemed to faze JH.
At WORST it should have been a draw, because round 2 could easily have been 10-8 for JH, he almost ended the fight there. I wish officials would use 10-8 and 10-7 rounds more often. Round 1 of the Edgar Maynard fight springs to mind.

At WORST it should have been a draw, because round 2 could easily have been 10-8 for JH, he almost ended the fight there. I wish officials would use 10-8 and 10-7 rounds more often. Round 1 of the Edgar Maynard fight springs to mind.
IMO Hendricks was hurt twice in a fight, but I will have to look at it. He is good at hiding it and then telling nothing hurt him. Also you cannot tell by looking at the faces of the fighters. BJ Penn could get big beating and you hardly could see any marks on his face.
In this system of scoring as many ppl right now saying the outcome is not a robbery. But still a controversial one.
All in all I would like to see GSP winning the rematch decisively. But IMO if the rematch happens John will be a big favorite. Looking to a fact that GSP gave his best while Johnny seems like he was not in any big fight.
btw. I was surprised that GSP stayed in a pocket as much ...

Well of course Hendricks was hurt a couple of times in the fight, GSP is a hell of a fighter. There's a huge difference in being stunned hurt and actually being rocked. Hendricks was definitely stunned at least a few times in that fight, but I don't think GSP ever really had Hendricks in trouble. I'm aware that GSP is obviously going to show more wear and tear because he's got more miles on him, but come on, probably 8 of the 10 heaviest shots in the fight were landed by Hendricks.
That said, I don't think it was a robbery. Just a bad decision, but not an egregious one.

Here's why Joe Rogan thinks GSP should retire:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1856813-joe-rogan-gsp-should-retire-since-hes-taken-too-many-shots
That's lame he is not Chuck Liddell or Wandy.. GSP has only been knocked out 1 time in his career and that was 6 years ago. He didn't take major damage in the Diaz fight just a few decent shots. GSP cuts very easily and bruises easily as well. Some fighters are just easy to make it look like they took a ton of damage.

LOL at GSP thinking he got abducted by aliens though:lol I want to know the shit he's taking, tbh. :lol

Hendricks is incredibly cocky..
He had reason to be. He dominated the world champ for a round, solidly beat him in another, and narrowly "lost" three rounds while controlling GSP for much of the fight.
Besides, how many top fighters out there *aren't* cocky?

As usual, I have to disagree with you. That imprint of GSP's mushroom stamp on your chin has never looked so dark; it's gross.
Before this fight, I was very much a Hendricks hater. If you read anything previous to this fight that I've written, you can see that I gave him zero credit, hated his guts and liver, and wanted him to lose badly. After watching the fight and the subsequent aftermath, I have a tremendous amount of respect for him as a person and as a fighter. GSP was off his game, clearly, but that doesn't change the fact that Hendricks beat him soundly. I think that Hendricks will beat him again in the rematch. I will be cheering for him from now on. As far as fighters go, he isn't even close to what I would consider "cocky", but instead, seems very grounded and humble. Anyone who continuously states that they are "blessed" versus "I'm lucky" has actually done more than just thought about who they are and what they stand for, imo.
Either that, or I just hate GSP that bad.

I know he has a minor role and that he is not getting a Clooney paycheck, but he is still gonna make a lot money on royalties dufus
Rampage had a major role in the A-Team and Dana was telling the press that he will make far more money fighting.. Rampage never disputed that when asked. Rampage didn't make that movie for the payday he did it hoping it would be a big hit and other movies might be an option for him as a post fighting career. GSP's English also sucks and from seeing him in commercials he isn't much of an actor.. The money will dry up the day he retires so I hope he saved it..
