While you work three jobs to pay off Our Rulers lest they cage you, recipients of food-stamps use your money to buy groceries in the Bronx, New York. Then they ship the loot to the Dominican Republic, where relatives sell it on the black market.

The thieves have no more shame than to gloat that their inventory costs them nothing. They also operate other scams within the welfare-racket: one sponge “has Bronx grocers ring up bogus $250 transactions with her EBT [Electronic Benefit Transfer--sic for 'communist'] card. In exchange, the stores hand her $200 cash and pocket the rest. No goods are exchanged. Instead, [she] sends the money to Santiago — when she’s not spending it on liquor or other nonfood items. ‘We do it all the time, and a lot of people do this,’ [her sister] said. ‘It’s a way of laundering money, but it’s easier because it’s free.’”

What a country, huh? Thank you, Progressives, commies, and socialists!

Using the same tactic as St Ronnie "welfare queens in cadillacs", and Repugs LIE about voter fraud, Repugs are claiming PERVASIVE, WIDESPREAD public assistance fraud as justification for cutting public assistance

House Plan on Food Stamps Would Cut 5 Million From ProgramNearly half a million people who receive food stamps but still do not get enough to eat would lose their eligibility for the program under proposed cuts that are expected to be taken up again by Congress. An additional 160,000 to 305,000 recipients who do get enough to eat would also lose their eligibility and the ability to adequately feed themselves.

In total, about 5.1 million people would be eliminated from the program, according to a new report.

A Senate bill passed in May would cut about $4.5 billion from the food stamp program, mainly by changing the eligibility requirements. A House farm bill with $20.5 billion in cuts to food stamps failed to pass in June.

I bet many of the 5M people, aka moochers/frauds/takers, to be kicked off public assistance are actually working at a minimum wage job, or jobs), who are so overpaid that the Repugs/VRWC want to eliminate the minimum wage.

That's Funked Up

many of them have low-paying jobs, like the huge majority of walmart employees on public assistance.

And they are still moochers/takers

the real moochers are the corps that pay shitty wages, pocket the savings, and expect taxpayers' public assistance to provide your moochers with a livable income.

Watchdog Finds Zero Major Overpayments In Food Stamps, $17 Million In Farm Programs (http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/09/06/2581861/watchdog-finds-major-overpayments-food-stamps-17-million-farm-programs/)

Crop insurance and rural farm development programs issued over $17 million in high-dollar improper payments during the 2012 fiscal year, but the five food assistance programs conservatives frequently criticize as fraud-riddled issued exactly zero such payments (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/federal-eye/wp/2013/09/06/largest-usda-overpayments-go-toward-farm-subsidies-report-says/?hpid=z13). The numbers come from a report released Wednesday by the Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Inspector General report (http://www.usda.gov/oig/webdocs/50024-0003-11.pdf).

In total, the USDA reported 239 separate high-dollar overpayments with a total value of $20.3 million across all its programs. The federal crop insurance program misspent $14.6 million in 70 different high-dollar overpayments, and programs that provide conservation resources to farmers misspent $2.7 million in 53 different overpayments. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) and four other anti-hunger aid programs targeted at the poor reported zero high-dollar overpayments.

The USDA review targeted “high-dollar overpayments,” which are defined as payments at least 50 percent above the correct amount and totaling at least $5,000 to an individual or $25,000 to an organization. That makes the report an imperfect dragnet, which in turn means the report is unlikely to prevent opponents of the food stamp programs from continuing (http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/06/18/2177171/how-republicans-who-took-millions-in-farm-subsidies-justify-cutting-food-stamps/)to claim (http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/08/09/2442191/congressman-claims-widespread-fraud-because-he-saw-a-physically-fit-couple-use-food-stamps-to-buy-groceries/)that anti-hunger spending is rife with “waste, fraud, and abuse.” Those talking points (http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/06/30/258724/ryan-food-stamp-fraud-lies/) have survived (http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/03/08/440559/gop-non-existent-food-stamp-fraud/)years of evidence that food assistance is in fact among the most efficient and least erroneous federal aid programs, especially as compared to farm programs.

Wednesday’s report is just the latest peak on that mountain of evidence. The fraud rate in food stamps is down to just one percent (http://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/fraud/fraud_2.htm) from four percent in the early 1990s. Crop insurance programs have an erroneous payment rate of 4.7 percent (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/18/us/politics/fraud-used-to-frame-farm-bill-debate.html?_r=1&), while food stamps makes erroneous payments just 3.8 percent of the time. Error rates for SNAP are at an all-time low (http://www.cbpp.org/cms/?fa=view&id=3744#part7).

Many of the same conservative lawmakers who decry food stamp fraud have received millions of taxpayer dollars (http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/06/18/2177171/how-republicans-who-took-millions-in-farm-subsidies-justify-cutting-food-stamps/) from the crop insurance program and other farm subsidies. Republican leaders in the House have prioritized those farm programs over the more-efficient anti-poverty spending that has traditionally been included in the farm bill.

the VRWC/Repug strategy of dividing American against the poor, the 47%, the moochers/takers, criminalizing the poor as living well on public asistance, St Ronie's Welfare Queens in Cadillacs, works very well with you right-wing dumbfucks.

This is on the level of the housing bubble and the Mortage mess I am sure.

No investment fraud went unpunished there. And it gave a nice shove so we could experiment with government intervention attempting to prevent a huge credit crisis. I'm sure no one remembers that minor scam though.

This an example of the famous ST fencing maneuver involving the following:

Present a far more egregious example from the opposite viewpoint thereby avoiding the actual topic.
