Could his ego accept not being the 'guy' in San Antonio?

His relationship with Pop has been well documented...

Less stress being an assistant....

Something to think about.

the vbookie odds on him going to NY....or anywhere else would show that it is 99% certain he ends up with the Knicks.

It wasn't the stress that was getting to him, it was having to wear an adult diaper while he coached, and that lovely sensation of peeing on himself every few minutes that was getting to him. It was the thrill of changing his diaper at halftime that was getting to him.

Who wants to coach in NY?

You'd have to be retarded. With the exception of the Atlanta Hawks, this is the worst- run organization in basketball.

What aother franchise in professional sports is running at double the cap and playing .400 ball?

60 million is a good reason to coach in new york

who cares if you get fired you still get paid

IMO, no. If he doesn't take a coaching gig I could see him at camp as a "consultant" or something but that is about it.

Brown probably only has to work three years until Thomas gets fired anyway, and then he can negotiate another buyout with Zeke's replacement and go coach the Lakers.

LB's got quite a little racket going.

COACH EGO does not belong on the Spurs...the players quit on him back in the 90s so what the hell makes you think they would listen to him as an assistant. just say NO to COACH EGO

however it would be nice to see da Bums dump guac on him again

Chances of that happening are just as likely as DRob coming back and playing.

Larry Brown assistant coach? There's a better chance that Walton Buys Off Me becomes a seven-foot black man and gets a max contract from the Spurs.

No, Brown would not come hear to hang with Pop and let the good times roll.

He will go to NY, make lots of money, have the Knicks playing better than they have since Van Gundy left, and begin some sort of drama in 2008. Book it.
