Monta Ellis

Monta said it best tbh:

“I’m going to say LeBron James [third],” Ellis said recently. “He can do it all, pass, score, defend, block shots. No. 2, I would have to say, me. I can do a whole lot of things: defend, score, make passes, do whatever I need to do.

“No. 1, I’d say Kobe Bryant. There isn’t one player that can stop Kobe one-on-one. He has a lot of stuff. He can defend. And of course, he won four championships.”

Monta thinks he's better than LeBron (and Wade) and worse than Kirby :lmao

Damn, about 30 pts, 20 rebounds a game averaged between his big men in the post from 08-10. Smh.

Kobe will be there in one or two years imho, even if he isn't there yet.

Speaking of Kobe...for a guy to be 6-6 with a ton of athleticism (tons of dunks and layups earlier in his career) to never hit 47% in a season. That's pathetic if you think about it.

What would it have been if this thread were made before 6?

6 is a scapegoat and you know it. Just another excuse up upon another excuse. You never seem to run out of them.

He's a perimeter scorer, most of his shots are mid-range/long-range J's which not many guards ever shoot over 40%, and he takes a lot of contested 3s as well. Kirby is a 45% career shooter, which is not that bad if you look at his jumpshooting %s, he's a 40% jumpshooter (combined all mid-range Js and 3s he takes) and he's a 50% scorer in the post, 45-50% is not really that big of a difference, MJ just took more inside shots as he barely shot 3s in the first half of his career(when he was an above 50% FG scorer, look at his fg% in his 30s, hardly better than Kirby tbh).

Kirby at 34 = MJ at 34 with a better 3pt shot but worse D tbh

Lol, did someone really include a quote where Monta Ellis called himself the second best player in the NBA as though it was a piece of basketball analysis that should be taken seriously?..

I mean fucking really

Kobe's pinpoint shooting stroke will live on. The Spurs championship window will not.
