He could be a good point guard for the Spurs soon. Right now the Spurs have Parker, De Colo, Joseph, and Mills as point guards. Denmon could take one of those roles in a few seasons.

We will never see him again.

I'm glad. He would not have made the team this year, but I truly believe he may make it next year if De Colo and Mills both leave. With his hustle, defense, scoring ability and heart, there's no reason why he can't be 15th man.

it's good to send him out on loan to some satellite team where he'll get meaningful playtime which he wouldn't be able to get in NBA at present time, and it'll help boost his growth hopefully. It worked out quite a number of times in the past (scola for example)

Nice find. :tu

It's a good news for Spurs that Denmon is fine with going overseas one more year. With all the guards Spurs had, there wasn't a roster spot for him. Next season, there might be.

It's also noteworthy that NBA teams are convincing more and more second round picks to go overseas. In this year draft Pierre Jackson, Mike Muscala, Erick Green, Colton Iverson and Alex Oriakhi have already signed with an overseas team. Other players like Arsalan Kazemi should follow them. Between these players and the international players drafted, few mid to late second round picks will be in the training camp of the team that drafted them.

Any update on whether Thomas will go to Europe? Probably has to decide soonish so he can latch on to a decent team, no?

unless De Colo shows consistency he's as good as gone after this year. i don't know the the Spurs would also commit to Patty Mills unless he shows he can play an actual role outside of towel waiver. We could very well have use for a small guard after 1 year

Hm Tofas only plays in the Eurochallenge (two tiers below Euroleague). Not sure how the Turkish league compares to France in general but there are some pretty strong teams at the top with all the Istanbul based teams.

Good luck to Denmon. I hope he continues to impress, IIRC he had one bad game but it was also the biggest game of the SL schedule. If he stays healthy he will get more comfortable out there and should be able to produce just as he showed early in the summer.
