Looks like he's trying to pitch a ping pong ball. Can you imagine how good of a quarterback he could have been ? With mitts like those, he would have slung the ball down the field with distance and velocity.

Is he sporting Gucci shoes and an Arrow short sleeve, collared shirt? Yep, lives with his mom. Love that guy.

I'm relatively new at following football, but wouldn't WRs or TEs be better served with big hands rather than QBs? Back to the point, I don't follow baseball so I'm not sure if athletes of other franchises represent their actual team but I think it's pretty cool that Kawhi's repping the Spurs at an MLB game. And he looks like he's throwing an egg out there.

Without getting too technical, a wr or te is taught to catch with 2 hands. A qb throws the ball with one hand. The larger it is, the more control he has over the ball. Try throwing a NFL sized football and see how far it goes. Next, trying throwing a smaller sized football. You'll see what a larger grip can do.

Wow. That makes sense. I never really thought about it, and it doesn't help that I haven't really seen or heard anyone raving about the hand size of the current top QBs, nor the top QB prospects. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me. :toast

This wallpaper reminds of a picture of Dr.J dunking against Larry Bird and Danny Ainge is watching both of them. It reminds of of that photo since Both Kawhi and Dr.J seem to be standing in the air.

The stadium literally went silent for about 30 seconds. Then they cheered.

Losing the title hurts so bad because this guy deserved it.

I will be for him and his team wherever he goes.

this is on Manu Turnobili. He sucked more than a Bangkok whore. Eight turnovers in Game Six. EIGHT. To go with nine points. Guy threw the game, tbh. On purpose or else he sucks.

Parker actually helped win a game
Ginobili's only game people think he helped was vs GS game 1
but the whole reason we were in that situation was because of him
Parker/Green scored most of the points in the comeback
it was Ginobili who turned it over which led to a Bazemore layup and before that the stupid pullup 3 with 30 seconds left and about 10 on the shot clock
he helped redeem himself with the game winner but it wasnt a good game

with the way Green and the rest of the starters were playing in game 5
Parker could have easily just kept isoing Chalmers/Cole and rode out the W

Dude is so real man. It's awesome to see one of your star players rocking the team they play for off the court and in front of thousands of people too. He's proud to be a Spur and that's so fucking cool. I bet if it were Lebron or D-wade, they wouldn't dare wear any heat gear off the court.

Dude need to update his cap though from the vintage early '90's Spurs fiesta colors.

i like the vintage 90's spurs logo. It brings me back to the days of watching games in the alamodome. You could get lower level tickets so much cheaper then.

I associate those fiesta colors with some soft Spurs teams. Personally, I don't like them, no NBA team should have a pinkish color in their logo IMO. I guess it's different for you guys though that lived there and got to go to the games.

Hipsters with their throwback retro jerseys/gear are single-handedly bringing the old school logos back to popularity. Not to mention that the Spurs fiesta colors in particular are right up hipster alley in terms of bright color bursts.

Speaking of which, after spending the weekend in Chicago for Lollapalooza (aka Hipster central), I've seen hundreds of nba jerseys, both old school and new school, and nary a Spurs jersey in sight. feelsbadman.jpg

+1 for those posting the pics and video. count me as someone who likes the older logo. Not necessarily better, but it's cool to see it repped once in awhile. I thought those alternate jersey designs (the unused ones with the fiesta colors on the side) were the best of both worlds.

Man...I can't believe, as Spurs fans, you guys completely fail to see what's going on with Kawhi. Try...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Consider that Kawhi sees Tim's window of dominance closing. His improvement is so key to the Spurs chances of getting 1 for the thumb. Rather than play with Team USA at this stage in his career, he can focus his energy on getting that ring. I've seen so much game tape on Kawhi and after analysis of him running, walking, jumping, lateral movements and toe up and heel down movements, I see no physical discomfort nor do I see any compensation to make up for the pain in his knee.

Besides, maybe he's doing it to show Pop that he has Pop's back since Pop wasn't given the chance he deserves, to be Head Coach of Team USA.
props to OP for original comments on this. It's good to hear an educated opinion on this, I always assume the worst. Kawhi's first two seasons have been a lot of fun to see the growth and potential, especially as badass as he was in the Finals. But I think year 3 will be when he starts to put it all together. Can't wait.

Every Spur player that gets a lot of minutes is going to have ice strapped to their knees. At times, when the Spurs are winning and the Bench Mob is playing, the starters will already have ice strapped on. Ice helps to minimize any swelling or pain from game action.
When he was walking around the San Diego County Fair there was no brace, there was no limp...nothing.
He could have discomfort, but hey, most of us who spend time on our feet all day have that.
Screenshots of the micro-movie only show what we already know...that Spurs players, including Kawhi, get ice. But truth, all starters in the NBA should ice, in fact, if you are rec league player, and you play at least 30 minutes of competitive ball, you too should ice. Taking an ibuprofen for it's anti-inflammatory effects couldn't hurt either provided you don't have any adverse reactions to ibuprofen.
