Not the greatest defender, from what I recall, but he has some range and is 'surprisingly athletic'. He may have agreed to terms with NO already.

I don't believe he has .. unless I missed it.

Also, he's an unrestricted free agent.

I'd take him on my team as a 12th man. Someone that can stroke the hell out of the ball can find a few minutes here and there. If you are in need of a three, put him in. You could get him for cheap too.

i heard a couple of nsync guys can shoot the 3

The Spurs have limited $ and minutes to offer. For their needs, this guy would fit much better than a Shirley, to say the least.

I think he'd be a pretty good fit. Good three-point shooter. Is tough minded on defense. Has a little bit of a 'tude ... but that's what you want in a hired gun.

Decent fit.

Seems like a good candidate for a 2 year deal starting at the LLE of $1.7 or 1.8 million, perhaps with a team option after the 1st season.

I saw him play at Stanford and this guy can shoot.

Kind of like a Fred Hoidberg in a way.

Hypothetical 2/3 rotation minutes breakdown:

Manu...........28
Bowen..........28
Devin...........15
Barry............15
Jacobsen......10

Jacobsen could turn out to be a good 'system player' in SA. He's got range on his shot, should be able to cut decently and should be able to stay with his man and force him to the baseline on defense. He wouldn't be the prototypical "long 3" but he could give you a few minutes each night of what you expect from a Spur swingman not named Manu or Bruce.

Another freaking fracking tall white boy!

Great!

Fits in perfect with the Spurs "no gangsta balla" philosophy.

I'll never see another head band wearer in a Spurs uni again. Fvck!

Why not give him a try? I mean, hey, the Spurs can always use Casey at the front gate of the SBC Center as a "turnstile" if he misses his shots.

Horry For 3!

Casey Jacobsen is decent, I remember watching him with Stanford.

Yeah, me too. Interesting thing is that is probably the last time he did anything memorable on a basketball court.

If we play college teams he'd be great.
