Wow, good take! I think that Dejuan Blair is going to be a Mav. He will probably play spot minutes just as he did in San Antonio! He will likely avg. around the 3-8 pt. range with around 3-4 rebounds per game but that's if I'm being generous. I'll tell you one thing though, if he can break rotation, he might get to play 10-15 a game. And he certainly won't be considered awful by any stretch of the imagination in comparison to Brian Cardinal. Hopefully Dejuan's knees hold up long enough for him to have a somewhat successful career in Dallas. I think he'll really enjoy the night life and his daughter will really enjoy the Dallas district schools! I think he will re-up his contract with them one more time once it is up and I think he might go elsewhere after. I think that Mark Cuban will have some meaningful conversations with him about business and life in general. I think Blair's game could blossom under Jim Carrey... err uh Rick Carlisle. He will be encouraged to use his moderately successful teardrop layup taught to him by none other than Tony Parker. He will bid his farewells to the team and possibly even tear up at the sight of leaving his mentor Tim Duncan. It'll be sad for him as he considers most of the Spurs players and staff family. He will miss Popovich except for when he yells at him in practice for defensive miscues. Nevertheless he will miss his only grandfather figure as his mother raised him alone. I think Dejuan Blair was somewhat of an asset to the Spurs organization and even spent some time in the limelight as a local favorite i.e. his 24 pt. 22 rb performance. Dejuan will be missed by some and hated by others but in the end, his career is on a better path now that he is a Maverick :)

Dallas look like a potentially more than decent regular season team and an horrible play offs team.
An up-tempo team a la Phoenix of D'Antoni and Nash...with less talent and, if possible, less defense.
Blair, imho, fits that line.
In a fast-pace oriented team he could make numbers (in that kind of game he already has shown he could make that).
Calderon and Ellis are obviously two of the worst players at defense but they can create offense at will.
Larkin (when back from injury) should be one of the fastest guards in the league.
Marion, also if advanced in years, plays his best in an up tempo team.
In this perspective, I won't call them out of play off...but once in, I don't see how they could advance in a seven game series.

Sorry to disagree with you on this mate, but I have to side with PlayNando / PlayBlair on this one. He will indeed win the Most Valuable Pine-rider award next season. :lol

Playblair never uses capitalization. That was a parody attempt, tbh.
