What recourse or free corrective surgery does someone have elsewhere?

Good article on how competition lowers healthcare costs. Too bad democrats oppose allowing competition within the US.

I had a friend who died in a hospital in Guatemala after a fairly simple gall bladder surgery.
Ironic. He was a doctor working for a branch of doctors without borders. He wanted to show trust in the medical staff.
