I don't like to drink big red but it makes great ice cream. Take a 2 liter bottle, pour a little out and add 2/3 can of eagle brand condensed milk. Shake it up good and pour it into your ice cream maker. It kicks ass.

Nuh uh. Believe me, if there was something this sugar laden and nutrient leeching available in the 70's, my mom would have made sure we got plenty of it! :lol

But really, I had this conversation with my parents when I first moved here, and they recalled starting to see Big Red sometime in the 80's. I suppose by then I had already developed the Pepsi addiction and just didn't notice any other drinks.
