from what i understand, every time a personnel move goes well, you credit Mitch, but every time a personnel move doesn't work out, you blame Jim for ruining the team
for example: Lakers trade for Nash - omg mitch pulled a rabit out of the hat! playing chess while the rest of the league playing checkers. nash will extend kobe's career!!
Nash underwhelms and has 2 years 20 mil left - omg jim buss got an old point guard with a 3 year contract we need to get young and athletic when will jim learn!!??!?

This rests solely in Kobe Bryant's hands. If he takes less money, the Lakers will be a strong free agent destination. If he does not, then the Lakers will face three or more years of mediocre play.

Kobe will be the last one to be blamed in my eyes. Dude's contract expires in 2014 which is the essential prerequisite that makings it possible to begin with. Kobe will demand big money but it's gonna be up to the Lakers whether to re-sign him or not.

This is thanks to Espn and Stephen A Smith. You would think Stephen A has met Jim, but he hasn't. Jim has been running the team since he drafted bynum in 2006. Thats 3 finals, 2 championships , a CP3 Trade, Nash and Dwight Trade. What owner has done better in that stretch of time?

Exactly, and when did Mitch and Jim stand up and say what their 2014 plans were? Durant will be a free agent in 2015. Maybe they will sign QUALITY role players to go with him when he's a free agent then. Its not like the thunder are going to win the ship anytime soon.
