Tried it the other night and was EXTREMELY impressed. Large pizza was like $10 and VERY good. you take it home and pop it in the oven for 10 minutes when you are ready to eat.

Yeah I like it. I hear people complain about it not being cooked, but 1) they are very generous with their portions of toppings 2) because of #1, its very reasonably priced, 3) sometimes you want a pizza fresh out of the oven, 4) its pretty tasty

Well it's been around the northwest for quite a while, it's relatively new to Texas, at least here in SA. I think I first saw it here about 6 or 7 years ago, but had frequented it when I lived in Olympia about 17 years ago.

It's one of the few places I avoid because it's just too much food :lol

Meat is an older term used for a large penis. It's been around at least since the 50's.

If pizza Hut has a $10 any size any topping deal, and they do...i don't see the point of having to heat up my kitchen and wait 20+ minutes after I get home with my uncooked pizza.

......unless as was mentioned above......I'm on food stamps. Then i could see it...

My God. Do you mean Pizza Hut? There is absolutely no comparison.

I have made pizza myself at home, and it's hard to not end up with extra ingredients you don't want. What I do is buy the pizza without the ingredients that I prefer some other brand/type, etc. I then add ingredients to an already made pizza like Tillamook Extra Sharp Cheddar, Garden grown tomatoes, etc.

Blake

Yeah, pizza Hut. I think the Hut has decent supreme deep dish pizza for $10

But ok, I'm going to give Murph a go. Based on these posts, I'll be disappointed if I don't orgasm.

It's okay, but Blake's right - It's basically Pizza Hut/Domino's/Papa Johns quality for about the same price and they make you cook it yourself.

If I'm going to settle for that kind of quality in my pizza, I'd prefer to just have it delivered to me hot.

It isn't the same. The other places don't use as much cheese, ingredients, etc. If your local one is no better, you should report them to the chain headquarters.

I agree with WC on this one. The only chain pizza that really compares is CiCi's. You can tell them exactly what you want and they'll make it. Just like Papa Murphy's except you don't have to cook it yourself.

No. They don't have all the ingredients like the premier places like Papa Murph's and CiCi's.
But even if they did, the lack of quality keeps them out of the same league.

Obviously I'm not putting them into the same category as a local pizzeria but I was just making the point that CiCi's and PapaMurphy's are at the top of the chain pizza shops.

I'll walk in to the local CiCi's and as soon as the manager sees me, I get a quick nod and he heads to the back to get my usual started. I call it Taco Pizza and it's got bead dip, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. Things you'd find on a Taco. Sounds gross but it's the shit. Once it's done, they'll bring it over to me and let me get however many pieces I want. Then they'll take the rest back to the buffet. And it's good business for them. Once someone else tries it, they may start ordering it also. In fact, I've gone in there once or twice to find my Taco Pizza already on the buffet.

Excellent pizza, extravagant salad bar, tasty dessert choices. All for a mid level cost. It's perfect.

But yeah...I'm not saying they can match a mom and pop joint where they aren't serving 100 at a time. If I want something low key with a better atmosphere and even better pizza, I go to a local joint called Pizza Patron.

Papa Murphy's has to be near the top of best stoner food. any time I've ever bought some weed, I'll always buy Papa Murphys. after getting baked, i'll always think "damn I wish I could eat a fresh pizza this late at night" and then remember I have a Papa Murphys in the frig from earlier. it's not the greatest pizza ever but it fills a niche. Definitely better than DiGiornos, Red Baron etc and I think on par with the big chains.
