Mike D has been talking about "addition by subtraction" of D12 and making other bold predictions including improved defense and basically guaranteeing a better overall team this year. I tend to agree that the Lakers will improve but is Mike D setting himself up for a fall with this uncharacteristic puffery about how much better the Lakers will be this season or is he just making the safe pick? Personally, I like the Lakers roster this season so far, but that doesn't detract from the debacle that is Mike D and his unshakable and inflexible view that every team he coaches should mirror the style of the 2002-2006 Suns.
