Paul does not appeal to the money base. His disavowal of the fed turns off bankers and his railing against entitlements goes beyond FIC and food stamps. That is turn alienates the boomer leeches and corporate welfare culture.

Paul has been trying to play it both ways and channeling his inner Romney since the lst election but donors are going to gravitate towards full on fellatio from the other guys on that list when the rubber actually starts to hit the road. Polls on off years are fun I guess but meaningless relative to action when actual campaigning is going on.
