Monday was the fifth time in team history that the Bucks have ended a winning streak of at least 12 games. The most famous instance was when Milwaukee ended the Los Angeles Lakers (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=lal)' NBA-record 33-game winning streak on Jan. 9, 1972. The Bucks also ended 12-plus game streaks by the Celtics (1973 -12), 76ers (1983 - 14) and Spurs (2007 - 13).

What do all four teams have in common?

They all went on to win the NBA title that same season.

So let's look up the schedule, try to build up a double digit win streak before hand, then tank the Bucks game. :hat

What could have "guarantee" a championship would have been Spurs FO improving the team this offseason but they did nothing...

I wouldn't go so far as to say they did nothing since they got Belineli and Pendergraph, but if they had gotten both Kirilenko and Oden, then that would have made a huge difference. However, I really don't believe either of those two were ever seriously going to come here, and I think the FO realized this pretty quickly and thus made the best moves they could have under the circumstances.

Based on popular opinion around here, the two we got will not help much...

This team knows how to buck the statistical odds. I wouldn't put that past them. They managed to lose when they had a less than 1% chance.

You know what's darkly funny? Wages of Wins had the Spurs win it all in 6. :lmao

The Spurs had a chance to win it in 6. The only way they could have won it in 7 is if they had gotten blown out in game 6.
