THE LAMAR ODOM saga is getting curiouser and curiouser. Yesterday, Radar Online reported that the Los Angeles Lakers have offered the free-agent forward a roster spot if he goes to rehab for his alleged drug problem. Odom, who played for the Clippers last season, played for the Lakers from 2004-10. A source told Radar Online that Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak made the offer because "the organization and the Buss family [which owns the Lakers] are extremely concerned about" Odom.



"The Lakers are a family," the source said. "And, even though Lamar isn't currently on their roster, that doesn't matter, he's a two-time championship Laker. "Lamar needs to go to rehab and he's been told by the team that if he goes and completes treatment, there'll be a spot for him." The Lakers, according to Radar Online, had no comment. Last week, TMZ reported that Odom has of history of abusing drugs, including crack cocaine.
