Hello everyone it's been nice taking a little break from posting here on ST. I've decided that until the season starts I will (for the most part) just be reading these forums.

Anyways, I don't know if it's just me, but as far as posters go, has anyone else noticed that this site has had practically no new users? I mean geez what did we do? Did all of our bickering after the finals scare away everyone?

Sorry, I just find it a little strage. Carry on. :flag:

Dead period for basketball ... after draft & free agency and right at the beginning of football season, about a month before preseason really gets going.

Yep. Offseason for basketball is very slow and (well it's mostly this) untalked about much by ESPN unlike football which litters ESPN's air waves 24/7/365 whether their season's going or not.

Hell I didn't log here for a week once this offseason, logged back and almost the exact same threads were on the front page. besides a few new shitty ones. There isn't much convo going unless you're into cuckholding and trannies like the NBA Forum's Spurfan sellouts and LA fans all seem to be.

Staff may just have not approved new posters in a while. It took me 5 months to be approved last year. Maybe that was an isolated event, maybe not

You do realize what you're asking for is a double edged sword, yeah you invite newbies but at the same time you invite trolls. :nope

the last time registration got opened it was around the playoffs. said new posters were either naïve or veteran's trolls.

plus, given how emo upstairs is and how in-jokey and filterless downstairs have gotten there's been very little room for constructive discussion on ST.

Um, do I count? I'm kind of new. Just have not been posting in the off season but I'm here at least once a week.

In about 40 or so days, the site will be back up and running. Can't wait.

I registered for the 2013 season but i've been a lurker awhile.

i suspect there are a lot of us out there who haven't registered for one reason or another.

i didn't really seriously start paying attention to the spurs until this year, so that was my excuse.

It is not isolated. Approval took forever.

It didn't take months, or weeks, or even days for me, it was a matter of an hour or so back when I first joined.

Hopefully they are vetting their new members now so they don't make that mistake again.
