"Paris engagé en Pro A sous conditions
Après étude et analyse des éléments apportés par le Paris Basket Racing, et après audition des représentants de ce club le 8 juillet dernier, la Chambre d’Appel a décidé d’autoriser le Paris Basket Racing à s’engager en championnat Pro A pour la saison sportive 2005/2006. "

Paris is finally authorised to play in Pro A (french first league) under certain condition. they will have finacial control every month and will be strictly limited concerning players salary.

This news should help see more clear in transfer in France.

Why it concerns the spurs?

- Tony is an investor in this club
- One of Paris coach is actually assistant for spurs in summer league
- Karaulov and sanikidze do not have favorable situation in their club and could end up in this club if not in NBA. sanikidze has been rumored there.
- since they are under restriction they will make player sign 1 year contract which would be perfect for sanikidze and karaulov

Thanks for the info. Makes sense.

Send Sanikidze and Karaulov (is he a free agent?) there. The Spurs can use them as a farm team ... especially considering that Parker is part owner and the team probably wouldn't be good without some help from San Antonio's overseas talent.

Thanks for the news JUUOT.

Are you saying that PBR will have financial control every month? If so, how would they prove "financial control" and to whom...the Federation? Just curious.

from what i understood,

the only reason they were accepted is because investor gave proof maney was there.
so every month a report will be done on cash flow. to make sure money came in as expected and was spent reasonably.

they were already on probation last year but failed. this is their last chance.

Okay, thanks. Yeah, in fact this was a reversed decision to drop them from Pro A through an appeal.

after a saturday morning surfing on french website. i can confirm

Paris basket is interested in sanikidze and the rumor is getting bigger he will go there. he is not a priority for dijon.

he could join anothe young wing and french hope, mamoutou diarra.
