This is obviously a meaningless achievement for American basketball fans, but I think it has a very significant impact on international fans (European particularly) when measuring Parker's historical prominence. Congratulations to him. A well-deserved championship for him and for France. I think it was time for this generation to get a title.

yes for european and even others country not including USA (sometimes you may feel alone lol) its a very important competition harder than world championship or Olympic games because in europe all countries are really good.. in OG and WC u have teams like Iran, australia, algeria etc ...but i a agree u have argentina and USA ^^

HoF 100% secured. Can we only imagine how 2013 would look like for Parker if Duncan played those 30 final seconds in Game 6?

Nevermind, we're Champ! Finally...

Now, Parker must bring and sustain his intensity and play in FIBA to the Spurs next season.

TP and Diaw deserved some positive after that tough finals loss, hope that helps them get their mind off of it some. Congrats to them.

3x NBA champion
2007 Finals MVP
5x All-Star
2x All-NBA second team
1x All-NBA third team
Eurobasket 2013 gold medalist
Eurobasket 2013 MVP

If that doesn't scream Hall of Famer, I dunno what is.

Hey, it's not all Boobie's fault.

Larry Hughes was the starting PG in Games 1 & 2. Both of which happened to be Parker's best games that series.

IIRC, Spain was minus the Gasols and Ibaka.

who cares about some euro trash league "championship"... Well all of France for one, and as a Spurs fan I was sure as hell caring about it with three of our players on the team. :flag:

Marc was here. Pau, Ibaka and Navarro weren't.

USA are clearly winning gold if they bring their top players. After them Spain is probably better when healthy but France with Noah is not that far

If Lebron isn't playing in it, it's a BS championship. Anyway, good for France but as a Spurfan I wish Parker and Diaw could save some of that energy/health for the Spurs.

Hahaha, you funny.
It doesn't mather where you are located.
When you miss out on the toughest basketball tournament of all, it says something about you calling yourself a basketball fan in general.
