As we know the sport has been around for a long time, so I don't want to have to work within the confines of just the WWE ,as we know we had...

CWA..Memphis..Jerry Lawler, Jackie Fargo
AWA..midwest...Verne Gagne
WWA...Los Angeles...Fred Blassie
WCW...south...Ric Flair
World Class..Texas...Von Erichs
UWF...Oklahoma, Texas etc...Bill Watts
WWWF...back when daddy owned it....Bruno Sammartino

This is for the long time fan, those who saw Lou Thesz, Bruno, the original "Nature Boy". Pre 2000 would work.

Where would Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair be on an all time top 10 list?

Hogan is #1 if you're talking about star power, but he ain't anywhere near top 50 when it comes to actual in-ring ability.

Flair and Michaels are 1A and 1B on the GOAT performer list.

Well if we take everything into consideration I come up with...

1.Lou Thesz...played a major role in the early days
2.Bruno Sammartino....first great WWWF Champion
3.Hulk Hogan...brought it to the mainstram in the 80;s
4."Nature Boy" Ric Flair...huge in the south
5."Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers...NWA/first WWWF Champion
6.Verne Gagne...ruled the midwest
7.Killer Kowalski...ruled Canada
8.Shawn Michaels...best in ring performer
9.Fred Blassie...ruled LA
10.Gorgeous George...first TV star rassler
