Honestly Brooks was good before he tore his rotator cuff late in the 2002 season. The Saints were 9-4 before that but played him in the final 3 games and lost all three missing the playoffs. Delhomme was the backup and probably would have won two of those games, but Haslett never played him and Delhomme signed with Carolina in the offseason. :lol
