Much better. We could've won game 6 if it was in San Antonio

6 would be that much more of a nightmare for Spurfan if it happened at AT&T.

I don't see the problem with 2-3-2. If you earn homecourt advantage in the Finals you deserve to have Games 6 & 7 at home.

It was first implemented because of the Celtics/Lakers being in the Finals perpetually in the 80s. Can't have constant travel between opposite ends of the country, especially for guys like Red Auerbach (who IIRC asked for it).

That's fine, until that part when the higher seed goes down 2-3.

But the extra time spent on planes ain't doing no good in favor of the Spurs' old legs imho.

^ Maybe we'll see a rematch, and 6 will be 5 instead.

It's one of the biggest travesties in all of sports. 2-3-2 is absolute horse shit for the road team, it makes it so damn difficult for the road team to win the championship. It forces the road team to either win the 3 games at home, or to close out in game 6 or 7 on the road. It's way too difficult.

Too bad your team did not get near a 6 this year with the Payroll and so on, hell you were not even a 6 SEED........... They did move up though after Kirby got hurt.

I agree man, the Spurs damn near lost the title in 05 with that 3 road games in Detroit, that shit was horrible and to say the least. I was like damn really three games in a row and on the damn road? If you lose one at home you are in real trouble of losing the finals and thats reality.

It's just more of Stern trying to 'control' everything. He knows statistically the most popular team is the #1 seed, the NBA usually wants that team to win it all. This has worked for my Lakers and against us as well, but I'd much rather the NBA be fair and less corrupt. 2-3-2 is absolute horse shit, I fuckin cant stand it.

I agree with you fully there. This has worked for the Spurs too as they won the title when they were clearly better than some teams but against Detroit it almost backfired and they nearly got three in a row there. This year the Spurs obviously lost that game 6 there at their house but other times it worked out but it's absolute bullshit as you said.
