It's OF COURSE not only govt systems that are kludges.
The entire health care system is one big kludge.
eg: Health Exchanges: incredibly complex policies from numerous insurers. or before that, the super complex, and expensive, individual market.
A govt health insurance where premiums are collected automatically from ALL income obviates citizens' need to buy insurance, to fight with insurers for coverage, etc.
Like the highly efficient, low-overhead, non-kludge SS, a govt health insurance would save Human-Americans $100Bs/year and while fucking the for-profit insurers.
