Somebody actually liked Yeezus? I thought it was a self-indulgent piece of shit and the worst album Kanye's ever dropped, tbh....

I've also listened to M B V (meh), Modern Vampires of the City, and Sunbather (shit).

I forgot to mention Push The Sky Away by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. That's probably my second favorite album of the year.

Kanye is worse every year. His first two albums were cool. He's not even top 10 from Chicago.

If it comes out this year Eric Claptons' 2013 Crossroads Guitar Festival at Madison Square Garden will be the undoubted winner hands down!

I've listened to Run the Jewels more than anything else this year, that's probably my pick. Random Access Memories a close second, but I got a little burned out on it.

man I'm really out of touch with music. I try to check out new shit on Sirius XM but i guess a lot of it doesn't stick.

and whats up with Pearl Jam's new album name? seems way too generic imo. i'll go ahead and check it out along with new Atoms for Peace though.

Yeezus is the work of a genius. Most great music is self indulgent. That said, it might be his weakest album. Just because he's maybe the most egotistical douchebag this planet's ever seen doesn't mean he isn't an absolute genius.

BRMC's Specter at the Feast was one of the better albums this year in my opinion.

His earlier work is absolutely genius, The College Dropout especially is one of the most important and influential hip-hop records of all time.... that being said, it's all gone to his head now, culminating in a complete over-the-top shitfest like Yeezus....

Yeezus is weird for me because i admire it alot more than i like it. It takes balls for a mega pop star like Kanye to say "fuck it" and make an album with zero chance at mainstream success. I really feel like Yeezus is a tremendous work of art that only a musical genius could produce, but i also think it's maybe his worst solo album (maybe better than Late Registration and 808's, but still lower tier Kanye). It's certainly better than the tired, regurgitated crap that Jay-Z put out at the same time. I definitely put way too much thought into an album people forgot about 10 seconds after they listened to it once, but i dunno, i think genius but it's better art than music.

Bound 2 is probably Kanye's best single since Cant Tell Me Nothin tho.

I do have to admit though - even though I didn't like Yeezus, Blood on the Leaves is one of the best tracks Kanye's ever made....

Yeezus was dope but not a contender. Sounds very good in the whip
MCHG was terrible
MMLP2 first 3 songs have been trash
Nothing was the same was meh

tbh I dont have a fav rap album this year

Best overall album for me would be Yours Truly by Ariana Grande. Only cd ive ever bought. Great debut album
