As if the cacophony of leaks around the Nexus 5 (http://www.theverge.com/2013/10/11/4827722/google-nexus-5-android-kitkat-rumors) weren't enough, here's the most official yet: Google's latest flagship phone has appeared on the Play store. The listing appears to have been made in error, as the phone cannot be bought and no details are available but the most important — a starting price of $349 for the 16GB version. While that's a higher barrier to entry than we saw with the Nexus 4, which also cost $349 at 16GB but had a $299 8GB model (http://www.theverge.com/2012/10/29/3569540/google-nexus-4-preview-price-release-date), it's still an attractively low price for what appears to be a more than capable device. Google's tagline for the LG-made phone is "Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways."

UI tweaks match earlier leaks
The image of the Nexus 5 on the Play store is small, but a Verge commenter (http://www.theverge.com/2013/10/17/4850738/nexus-5-google-play-store-price#191439993) has provided a high-resolution version; it displays some of the same Android UI tweaks found on press shots that leaked earlier today (http://www.theverge.com/2013/10/17/4849608/googles-nexus-5-press-images-leak). The next version of Android, 4.4 KitKat, looks to employ translucency effects on elements such as the app drawer and on-screen buttons, and the blue accents used in earlier versions of the software appear to have been replaced with white. Some apps have received new icons, too, including the camera and phone, and the wallpaper features an abstract "5" design in much the same style as the new Nexus 7's.
Google is yet to announce anything official about the Nexus 5, but it can't be far off now.

Really not that impressed with KitKat. I think Android has got to the point where it's more of a gradual evolution. Hoping Android 5.0 is amazing.

lol
Swiftkey has swyping too, and it obviously wins in the prediction department
By the way, the Galaxy S4 keyboard has some built-in Swiftkey built-in features
I second Poweramp
Shit is badass, although the S4 stock player ain't bad tbh

I've tried both, and I find Swype suits my typing style better.
Swiftkey has better text prediction for follow-up words, but its accuracy when swiping instead of typing can be very frustrating.

KitKat sounds like its making a LOT of improvements to general operation and user experience, and a few visual changes as well. This sounds like a better update than we were expecting from everything I've read.

Fuck HTC
Nice hardware but that's it
Shitty OS update policy, nightmare for developers/rooters, no external SD card, no menu button
Yeah my S4 is plasticky, but that's a minor trade off for me, I don't miss HTC

Beast mode phone. Might be my next Android device. Kitkat looks like a nice, albeit tiny step toward making Android even better.
Really looking forward to the next evolution. Flexible screens, anyone?

This is hilarious. No way in hell is that true. There's a strong argument for a stock One > stock S4. If the camera in the One was as good in well-lit situations as the S4 it would be the better phone by a wide margin.

Lol no
HTC = FAR superior build quality, FAR better stock launcher, better speakers, IPS screen.
GS4 has a better camera, and removable battery/sdcard, and marginally faster performance. That's about it.
