That was a fun team to watch though, too bad they never reached their full potential.... that team did produce my all-time favorite Clippers highlight, though:

Where's Rinsanity, tbh? Dude became a household name overnight it seemed like in my goddess's hometown but sadly his good form only lasted a month or so, before other teams made adjustments against him and exposed him as a scrub. Dude even injured himself intentionally (like the torn achilles to Kobe) to avoid getting scorched by the opponents on the spotlighted stage imho.

Wesley Person missed a series winning jump shot at the end of regulation in game 5 of the Suns-Rockets 1995 series. They were up 3-1 when he missed that WIDE OPEN jump shot at the buzzer. The Suns lose in overtime and then lose games 6 and 7. Rockets go on to win finals.

There were so many great guards/small forwards from that era(84-98):

Nique
Drexler
Worthy
Mullin
Stockton
Thomas
Payton
Dumars
Kevin Johnson
Reggie Miller
Pippen

MJ was just that much better, I think with all these rules that protect the superstars in today's league, MJ would be even more efficient. Look at how well Lebron exploits his ability to drive and draw contact, MJ would have a field day in the post and just blitzing inside, they'd have to foul him 20 times a game just to keep him from dunking on everyone.

went from one of the best in the game with GSW to being irrelevant on the Clippers to blowing out his knee in the playoffs against the Heat

Stephon Marbury

A lot like Derrick Rose (from looks to his game), went from averaging 21 and 8 at 27 years old to being out of the league by 31.

mitch richmond. Mitch was a strange case. The year before he came to the Lakers, he averaged 16 a game. To me, Mitch is a classic case of K. Bryant not making other players better. Mitch should have been a contributor on that team, and never got the opportunity.

Flawed analysis. Watched Mitch play. Problem was the triangle, not Kobe. that offense had teh same effect on GP who could still play. Kobe my or may not make some players better, but using Richmond as a case study especially after leaving such a crappy team like Washington to him being a 10th man on a championship team is foolhardy. It's like blaming Jamison's struggles last year on Nash or Kobe. Also wasnt that Shaq's team? That is preached here all the time. How come that is not on shaq? LOL. Triangle was not a good fit for Mitch's game. And If the rock still had game why did he do nothing after he left?
