A couple things. First, excited as hell to see what he can do. Second, I hope Kubiak's conservative ass playcalling doesn't ruin him. Third, find out if need to draft a QB. Fourth, Kubiak's job is finally on the line.

I don't think its wise to throw him in against the Chiefs though

There is no time for training wheels. It's the perfect test. If he goes out there and beats a good Chiefs team or looks really solid in a loss when know he's the guy.

Could be a confidence booster if he wins. More upside than not, plus Yates is basically a Schaub clone, but worse :lol

yeah but it could wreck his confidence if the Chiefs defense does what they've been doing. It's his first NFL action and its against one of the best defenses. you don't want the kid to get shellshocked if you think he has a shot to be 'the guy'

Perhaps, but this is how it has to be considering all other options.

wish case the best of luck going against one of the best defenses in the league and in one of the roughest stadiums to play in. i hope the offense has been doing interception drills cuz its going to be a long day smh.

Wise move. Houston had to do this given the spot they are in, tbh. This is win/win for the Texans. If he pans out, they have a QB to stick with... If he sucks, Kubiak gets fired.

He either has it upstairs or he doesn't, imo. If he does, the environment and the opponent won't wreck his confidence.

It'll be cute for one game while VINCE YOUNG gets his physical taken care of and learns the very difficult offense.

Calling Case a hometown hero is a misnomer to be honest.

Houston is the biggest bandwagon sports city and I'll bet 80% of its college football fans support horn and aggy.

Hope he has a stellar enough performance to generate interest from teams in need of QBs, ie Oakland, Minnesota, and Cleveland.

I agree wholeheartedly, but someone already beat him to the most accurate title.

I don't know why Ian Rapoport reported otherwise. I'm not saying you're incorrect, just wondering what he's using as a source.

Honestly, Kubiak is known to cover up injuries. This may be different because if he said Matt was hurt, he could bring him back if he was healthy. The fact he said his health is fine makes it seem he won't bring him in as the starter even if healthy. And if he does, there will be mass riots

The Texans announced Case Keenum will start in Week 15 against the Colts.

Coach Gary Kubiak said after Thursday night's loss to the Jaguars that Matt Schaub was an "unbelievable pro" and would be considered for the starting job for the rest of the season. Kubiak was then fired Friday morning. The 2-11 Texans are in full-blown evaluation mode, and it makes no sense to give Schaub anymore starts. His time is likely done in Houston, as well. Keenum has struggled mightily in recent weeks. He won't be a recommended fantasy option.
