FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man was charged and arrested Sunday in connection with the shooting death of his two-year-old daughter, police said.
According to police, Melvin Andre Clark Jr., 19, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police said Clark left a loaded .22 semi-automatic pistol under the living room couch where is daughter, Samarri Tyana Beauford, was playing.
The toddler found the gun and accidentally shot herself, police said. She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, where she later died.
Clark was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center Sunday evening under a $50,000 secured bond.

What a retard. No true gangsta has a .22 under his couch. A real nigga would have a 9mm.

Sadly, since he did not fire the weapon, he will be charged with manslaughter at most.

Did he write the article too?

"...under the living room couch where is daughter, Samarri Tyana Beauford, was playing"

Who lets their kid play under the couch?

I wonder how they concluded that the gun was found under the couch, though? And how does a 2 yr old kid fire a gun? And why the fuck was it loaded with the safety off?

That's one dumb nigga :lol

Sadly, since he did not fire the weapon, he will be charged with manslaughter at most.

That's just for the child's death though. I know there are some states where felons can petition to have their gun rights restored, but I checked NC and they make absolutely no exceptions on the lifelong weapons ban for felons. And violation of NC's "safe storage law" could elevate the involuntary charge. There are several ways to put this guy away for a long time and I hope they get the shrewdest assholish prosecutor on it tout de suite!
