Guy could be had for a second round pick and cash...

Instead they went for a "cap relief" pick and ended up doing nothing of note with the cap space...

The Spurs don't need another big as much as they need a wing.

Sorry, bud. Gobert's French, and as PlayNando's been telling everyone, Pop discriminates on and hates the French. Having him here will only stunt his career.

It's preseason. The gap between that and the regular season is big and I doubt Gobert will be able to be efficient in the RS. Now, he has shown in that preseason some qualities like in Europe and he certainly shouldn't have slide that much during the draft.

For Spurs, there are little regrets to have since he was picked before their first rounder.

He looks active on the court and I like that but he isnt needed for the spurs right now, unless we trade bonner or something.

He dunks to much for Pops liking though and he isnt a washed up player so...ya not gonna happen

jazz picked him ahead of us, so we didn't really have much of a chance

I would have preferred G/F James Ennis, and we could have gotten him. Miami gave the Hawks a 2nd for his rights....we could have forked over the same and had KL's backup. I figured with Bud being in Atlanta, that we might have had the inside track in a trade if we wanted him.

Well that poster is wrong.....Pop doesn't hate the French.......just Nando because he is a festering, yeast-filled vagina.

He's going to rot on the bench in Utah. Shame, really.

He looks comfortable during this preseason. He is not intimidate, run the floor pretty well and his length is doing wonder. I wish him the best and hope he will crack Utah rotation for some good minutes.

This isn't NBA2K. There are personalities involved. There are teams that will NEVER make a trade that will help us, even if we offer more than the other guy. Yes, it happens.

yeah, Houston and Portland are two great examples of this.

I think Paul Allen has a pathological hatred of the Spurs. He has more money than God, but has never been able to do once in Portland what SA has done four times.
