I dont like it, Danny is a good defender and his moral would go down. Don't mess with the lineup we were 28 seconds away.

Yeah this for sure has to happen... I mean we're talking about improving the team here, right?

Ironically that was our 2nd best defensive unit we had last season. 94 points per 100 possessions. Compared to the Splitter lineup (88/100 possessions) its not nearly as good but still well above average.

Nope, I'd still prefer to start Tiago, as I want more defensive improvement above all else, and I think starting Tiago is the best way to go to if you want to keep improving the defense.
I'd actually like Boris to lose a little more weight throughout the season (while putting on more muscle), so that he can play more as a versatile PF/SF type of player. Not sure if that is possible to do during the season though?
Green is so unpolished, has some really gaping flaws in his game. It seems like he doesn't work as hard at his game now that he's got the starters spot locked down for the foreseeable future.

Nando is about 1.5 mil expiring. Bonner is about 3.9 mil expiring. If the FO wants to swing for the fences on Duncan's way out, we have some pieces.

...and that Parker guy must really have slacked this offseason.

Trade Bonner & Nando for either a big or a spot up shooter/ball handler.
I'll get on the phone with RC.
Calm down bro
He's not a great player - he's a good player, but if he was playing on a team that had conventional ideas about the starter / reserves divide, he would be coming off the bench.
Any time he tries to do anything that isn't an open 3 pointer, it's cringeworthy. I have never seen one player miss so many dunks / open layups before - and I've only seen this guy play 2 seasons. If any team decides to play him tight, he becomes an offensive liability.
His attitude is crap - not saying he's a bad person but he stops giving a shit. Has Pop ever had to have a conference call with a player and a player's old coach to try to get through the player's head that they have to stop being a d-bag and try to work to get better before Green?
He has not improved anything except for his 3 point shooting since he got the starter position. Everything else he is good at (transition D and that's about it) are things he was good at before then. Not being able to put the ball on the floor ever and not being able to make the easy shots are not traits you want in your starting shooting guard. These should have been fixed over the his 2 years of starting. They're not fixed. Instead he's just gotten quite good at one thing which is great until he starts getting legit defence against him, and his performance in game 6 and 7 showed how brilliantly that pans out.
He is a settler - taking out of the starters and baiting him with the starting position again would make him work harder to improve his overall game, because if you look at his skillset over the last couple of years there is no way that he has been doing that. Its the Spurs, he'll still play the same minutes starting or coming off the bench, but he needs to be forcibly shown that he has a shitload of improving to do until he's as important to the team as he thinks he is.
And the 'i'll get on my phone with RC' is applicable to this whole forum. shut the whole thing down.

We sure could use Dragic this year. He'd be the perfect backup/spot up shooter tbh.

PHX might actually accept DeColo, easier to tank if all you've got on your roster is crap.

Next years PHX big 3 - Wiggins, DeColo and Bonner, gonna 3peat

But Ender will save us. Andrew "Ender" Wiggins is the hope for all mankind. Why wouldn't we tank for him?
PS: I read the book like 10 years ago, not a recent convert because of the upcoming movie.

Makes more sense for him to be on the starting team. Our starters is basically Tony/Tim 2 man game. Occasionally, splitter does the rolling into the basket, and leonard gets to iso/post. Green is in the starters just for shooting the open 3 point shot. As long as he makes them consistently, there should be no complains. After all, there can only be 1 person controlling the ball at any time. Having 5 players who all wants to do something with the ball and you dun get a good team. Players who can create off the dribble should be in the 2nd unit instead. Green should just be shooting open 3s, and if hes nt open, pass away the ball and let parker do his thing.

And lets not forget the defensive advantage of Green and Leonard on the court at the same time. They disrupt a lot of players in the passing lanes and give quick recovery on the 3 coverage. If Danny continues to play good defense and hit those 3s, he should stay in the starting line up. He is still improving, just look at last years play off performance. Clutch is a very good characteristic.
