LOL. I don't know how many times my NES went flying across the room because some careless friend or sibling ran by and tripped on the cable. Which is probably why everybody had to blow into the cartridges, their consoles were all fucked up.
Though I do recall my brother or myself throwing the gamepad accross the room numorous times (probably resulting in the console falling) due to frustration from games like Ghosts n Goblins.

that would be more putting another cartridge on top of the one you wanted to play in the slot tbh :lol

Yeah we did that too. :)
One of the most impressive console accidents was with my Dreamcast. It fell off the shelf (don't remember how, nobody tripped), the lid opened after it hit the ground, the CD flew across the room like a frisbee and it stuck into the drywall. The disc never worked again after that, it was Shenmue also. :(

Yeah. When it was going under I bought the console and stacks of games for next to nothing. Then afterwards I wondered why it failed. It was a pretty good console I thought.

It looks like shit. Don't see why anyone would take a great NES game and make it look like a cheap flash game tbh.

They show the whole intro. The game starts at 5:11, and at level three. That link is lame the way they did it. They start at level 1 again at 8:35.

no. I have that game and love it.
My first console was an Odyssey 2. After that I got an Intellivison. That was when football was x's and o's and you had a roller ball on the table model arcade game. I got a few pinch bruises from that roller ball. You'd stand up to the side of the table when you got a reception and spin that ball as fast as possible with both hands, with the other guy doing the same to try to catch you. Actually made you tired from playing a video game. I don't recall all the games available for that console however. The Atari 2600 was the shit though.
Funny about the DOS prompt though, playing head to head fighter sim meant taking my PC to a friends home, using a null modem cable and jacking with memory allocations to get sound to work. Ah good times.

Odyssey was the shit. I had a 2600 but was jealous of a friend who had Odyssey. Although there weren't as many games, the sports games were way better than Atari.

I felt that way about Intellivision, but not Odyssey. Atari sports games were pretty horrible, but pitfall harry was the shit.

Intellivision took it further but Odyssey baseball and football were way better than the Atari 2600.
