Heartbreaking loss. Losing to your bitter rival is horrible enough to begin with, not to say it was basically a comfortable win for the Rockets who gained the lead after their 2nd possession and kept it all the way until the buzzer. Mavs made some efforts in the fourth and nearly narrowed the gap down to single digit at one time, but suddenly fell short as Dirk picked his 6th personal foul. We even narrowed the game to 5pt something with about 30 secs left on the board, but it was already too late imho, we couldn't beat shit in crunch minutes without dirk playing.

Jose had yet another terrible shooting game, laying an egg tonight, but overall his performance was passable. He was still the offense initiator of our team, dishing out 6 assists which equals Rin and Harden's combined. I think he should try to limit his shot attempts to the numbers Jason Kidd usually took while he was playing in Dallas. You don't need to take that many shots yourself when you have a band of elite scorers surrounding you.

My nigga blair had another impressive game, despite the team's loss. He grabbed double-digit rebounds which, together with his 11 points made him the only mav ending with a double-double tonight. His one-on-one defense still needs some work but I can't blame him for looking so bad against the Rockets bigs, the 7ft fags are just bad matchups for my undersized nigga tbh.

Dirk played below his normal level tonight, shooting 6-15 from the field, but he could still pose a threat at the offensive end when he was playing on the court, which was well reflected by the number of times he was sent to the freethrow line. The opponents just couldn't stop him without committing a foul, bad news was that he also picked up too many fouls himself which severely limited his performance.

Marion has always been counted on as the defensive hub of our team since TC gone but his performance tonight was hardly satisfactory. Beard nigga would always get the points he was supposed to get, but you know there must be something wrong with your defense when you allow the scrubs like Rin, Brooks and Cassipi to also score double digits.

No one expected Monta to be consistent and he just proved people right yet again, with tonight's 7-19 shooting performance from the field, plus he also made 5 turnovers which was more than all the other 4 starters combined. Still you can't blame him though, for being what he's always been known to be. I always think that Monta would be an excellent 6th man, for his ability to create chances for himself, and for his lack of ability to pass the ball well, and of course also for his defense which's poor as hell.

Carter, the ring-hunting veteran did his best, drenching his pants, but it seems he still needs some time before he can get back his shooting hand.

if there're two positive things that have been seen from this game, our reluctance to give up the game with 10-15 something points down with few minutes left has to be one thing, and the other is Gil Mekel. The Jewish dude showed his talent of playing basketball just as well as he did in the math class, shooting 5 out of 7 from the field, netting 11pts along with 6 assists (tied game high) in just 23 minutes of play. Mekel was the engine that drove the Mavs last fightback movement during the last few minutes, which narrowed the game down to only 5 point at one time, but still the team couldn't win crunch time without dirk who had already been fouled out.

It's still only the 2nd game of the season though, and them mavs will only get better as our old guards gradually get back to their best forms. Top 4 seed and the 2nd round guaranteed...

Believe.

A couple things.

1. you're a faggot

2. Calderon's shot will come around, nothing to worry about with him.
Blair continues to give the Mavs good minutes off the bench.
Monta and Dirk can't have shooting nights like this, Mavs have no shot at winning against anybody when that happens.

Bitter rival? Aren't the Mavs biggest rivals the Spurs and the Heat? The Rockets aren't even close to being a rival to the Mavs.

Rivals in terms of being another team in Texas, tbh.

Yeah, it's a 3-way rivalry... like a Mexican standoff.
