I mean I hear never raise your hand to woman...but I hear that back in the day a man could kick a woman's ass (even in public) with Zero consequences...especially during the 1920's-60's...did the decline of woman beating coincide with the civil rights movement for blacks...
I fully expect Avante, JudyinTx, and Maaloox to be able to answer this....

I think you have this backwards. Back in the day a man beating a woman was considered a gigantic asshole/pussy, it was totally frowned upon. I have been attacked by women before, a bear hug works, no way in hell I;m hitting a woman. Now just watch the response that will get from the gang here who would deck a woman.

Don't know when it all started, I just know I was raised to believe that beating a woman, molesting a child, and abusing the elderly were the epitome of wrong. I was also taught to respect your elders.

point is I respected women at an early age

the uxorious old fuck never feels tired of demonstrating the upside-down structure of his relationship/marriage, where his wife always wears the pants while leaving him with only the panties to wear.

I remember someone said on spurstalk, "having a pussy doesn't give you no privilege to step into a man's face". I hate those punks who beat women for fun but at the same time, some women do behave egregiously and deserve the beat. A man's semen and fist are the best nutritions to make a good bitch, imho, just like the old proverb gets it, "a dog a woman and a walnut tree, the more you beat them the better they be"

Usurious? Wow, I'm duly impressed. I can honestly say I have never read that word used in a sentence before. Well done!

I also only recently learned that word though, like two weeks ago, and that's why I'm using it here lest I should forget it soon. The biggest irony is that I learned that word from a chink :lmao
Even in the movies people like Gregory Peck would slap a bitch if she got cute with him.

It's wrong because women are weak sensitive creatures while men are tough and strong. We say that we are for gender equality but that's bullshit. We judge people based on their private parts.

I totally agree with you and I guess that's exactly why we're both still virgins even on the other half of our 20s. If I remember correct someone on spurstalk once told me that if you respect women, they'll respect you accordingly. I don't like them bitches because I'm still a hardcore misogynist deep in my heart, and I think misogyny is different than machismo.
The difference between you and me, imho, is that I could've got some bitches but decided not to, while you wanted to get yourself bitches but couldn't. My point is that you either learn to respect women and finally some bitch will give you a liking as well as the permission to fuck her, or completely cut ties with them bitches and join my celibacy brotherhood. I know there're bitches who would want to lick the sacks of alpha males despite how bad they're treated, but you're not an alpha male, nor am I... I've decided to be a celibate because I never want to act obsequiously towards a bitch (unless her name initials are S.J. though)
Psssttt.....it's not real...honest.

So are you saying it is accepted these days that it is ok to beat a woman?
And is it also ok to disrespect your elders these day?
Just wondering.

Is Gregory Peck still making films?
Didn't think so.
Nice try though, but no novel from me.

It's just a no-no, bro. Deep down we've all had moments where we wanted to coldcock a bitch, but you can't act like Dez Bryant in the real world

What has Peck got to do with anything?
You forgot to answer my questions above.

Ah, very clever of you. I like that. Excellent post, DMC.
I didn't know Peck was a boomer. I thought he was from my Dads generation.
I'll have to check his age.

The Honeymooners made constant jokes about Ralph hitting Alice. Taboo, indeed. Could you imagine that show even making the air now?

Amos and Andy would still be banned too.

I thought that was your implication.
Then what exactly was your point? Because apparently it went way over my head. :lol

You brought up the baby boomer thing. That's your windmill to joust.

I didn't bring it up, I was answering some questions about it and commenting on it.
When you made your comments it spurred some questions I had for you, nothing personal.

This is you bringing it up. Show me where else in this thread baby boomers are mentioned prior to the above quoted post from you.

Ok, I see where I assumed you were referring to the boomer generation when you said "era".

Again, same answer. Apparently I was the first to bring it up. I thought that was what you were referring to. It's easy to infer things from the written word. It really isn't important now.

Summary:
1. You created the windmill
2. You need to joust it.
My work here is finished.

Not sure what you mean by jousting with the windmill thing.
Is that how you view this discussion, a joust?

The original meaning of "rule of thumb" being that it was illegal to use a stick thicker than your thumb to beat your wife.
