View Full Version : No one had a problem with Parker taking that last shot at the end of the game?

You guys are such hypocrites getting mad at Batum for shooting a half court shot at the end of the game, but don't say a word about Parker taking the last shot of this game. You guys are like Bill and Sean; you guys never think our guys are capable of any wrongdoing. None of the Suns were even playing any defense.

If you don't want people clowning on you and getting a triple double, play some defense and rebound the ball. Same with people crying about teams running up the score in football. If you don't want to get embarrassed, play defense and control the line. In any case, you can't just put your second string in and tell them to not play to the whistle.

I was cool with the Batum and Duncan shots, TBH, but Parker's last shot against the Suns was just beyond the pale.

There's no place for that crap in the NBA.

Hope Pop suspends him for a couple of games for pulling such a classless move.

Would the Suns not have fouled Parker anyway? Rather have the easy layup vs shoot free throws.

What the hell are you talking about ElNono? He took that shot when we were only up 1 point! The game was not even close to being over, and if he hadn't taken it the Suns would have fouled him and sent him to the line, where he could have missed free-throws...

I thought this thread was a joke when I saw it. The real question is: Why the HELL have many of you responded as if ElNono isn't on crack? I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. It's not even close to the same situation and ElNono needs to go lay down or something.

Edit: Oh. It was a joke. Nevermind...curse you all!

Yeah, it's a tradeoff of time vs. the sure points.

I remember in the 2005 NBA Finals vs. Detroit, Manu had a similar situation, but instead he passed up the layup and burnt another ~5 seconds running around in circles with the basketball. I'm fine with doing either. Personally, taking the sure points (layup) is probably the wisest option unless you're Steve Nash.

I couldn't believe he was jacking up so many shots in the 4th instead of passing the ball to real clutch players. Padding his stats tbh.

The game recap said they were down players because of injury, so apparently, it's OK to lie to the league and say your guys are out for an injury.

More evidence Popovich has lost the team and the players no longer respects him. Parker would have never pulled this stunt back when Pop was actually trying to come up with new stuff. Now it's all the same old same old plays that everyone knows how to defend. I think Parker is pissed off the Spurs sold out his last shot at a championship by signing Ginobili to stupid money. Parker is gone after his last season.
