Is it really that much of a stretch that Texas could be competitive and possibly beat them? McCry Jr. is not afraid of them and that run defense for Aggie is baaad. Texas' defense is also much better since Diaz was removed.

Rivalry game...Texas improved from early in the year...terrible Aggie defense...Texas might not be the favorite, but they most certainly could win.

Could you imagine Case not only beating them twice, but beating Johnny Fucking Football? The entire A&M population would commit mass suicide.

Still think we win in the end, but it would be a shootout. Our defense sucks.

I wouldn't mind that. A&M doesn't have any defense, as evident in every week they play. A couple of hard sacks on det ugly beardless gnome and A&M would be screwed.

We can thank our exiting AD for removing the game from the schedule.
How can any true CF fan not want this game on the schedule?

It would be good for both schools. SOS is going to be huge going into the playoff system and both teams would have a built-in bonus opportunity each year.

Watching Case go back to his herp de derp self reminds me that the only way we can beat a good team is with Ash at QB.

A&M would win by three touchdowns

A&M would outscore Texas eventually on neutral field. If the game were in Austin, I wouldn't put it past Aggie to find a way to lose.

On paper, even in a Case vs Manziel matchup, Texas is the superior team overall by a lot. Factor in Mack Brown and then the Aggies win by 3 TD's or more. Manziel isn't shit ass Blake Bell.

We arent too worried about SOS going forward.

Nor should you be, but I think a yearly game between the top two teams in Tejas should be mandatory

When I talk about SOS, i'm talking OOC. All Aggie has to do is win, and I don't think you're scared of the Horns, are you?

No desire to play them. We are finally doing our own thing, no need to look back now.

Fair enough. Suppose I look at it through an Auburn/Alabama prism.

You guys have ample opportunity to create great new rivalries, hopefully Aub/Agg is one of them

With the yearly extra bowl game match up that the SEC and big xii set up with each other, it's almost inevitable.

The rivalry is more heated now than it was when they played. They should have to play once every five years in a neutral location.

That's fine. Much different than an annual game.

Overall by a lot? No.

A&M is a 7-5 team talentwise, but have an all-time great, transcendent QB that elevates them by a huge amount.

Texas is a national title contender on paper with a criminally incompetent coaching staff.

Right now Aggies win by 3 td's. Swap quarterbacks and Texas wins 77-6

A&M would win big.

The Texas offense would kill lots of clock and keep the aggy offense off the field. The Texas defense would get enough stops to keep it under 40. I think Texas would win 42-35. You offense is good but Texas would do to aggsy what Stanford did to Oregon. Your defense on the other hand can't stop a pop warner offense.

Assuming we meet in a bowl game... Our defense would have a month to prepare. You can't prepare for Manziel so the month does you no good.

Vito Corleone
11-10-2013, 03:31 PM
Actually Texas has had an entire season of spread offenses to prepare them, no you can't prepare for a QB who improvises like he does, but Texas still has the defense to stop him, and he isn't the type of guy that is going to go balls out in his last game when injury could ruin his NFL draft position. He will play it safe and Texas will take advantage.

Besides I don't care how much time you have to prepare, your freshmen defense doesn't have the muscle to stop the Texas ground game. About the only way you can is if your allowed to play with 15 guys.

Having a month to prepare won't make Aggie's defense magically be able to start stopping the run.
