I mentioned this earlier, but I think it's a change in the Spurs' system from last year to help Green and protect Tim. They have Green hang back to help Splitter rebound with Tim getting up the court and getting position. Tim takes Splitter's place and helps with playmaking while Green, Splitter, and Leonard handle rebounding duties for the most part. This in part allows Green to trail and get into position for spot-up shooting or to run around and slash.

I'm not sure why you took that as Splitter bashing, I never bash Splitter, nor did I say he was a terrible finisher. It just aggravates me to see him not be aggressive around the rim, and even rebounding the ball at times. I know he's helped a ton defensively for TD, and is the beneficiary of some great looks cause of his great screen setting abilities and BB-IQ of rolling to the basket.

But there's nothing wrong with wanting the guy to be a little tougher on the interior when finishing. It'd be nice if he added another element to his game by now

Ha, no problem dude. I know, people get carried away on here with the player bashing. I know he doesn't have the hops, and I know what we see is what we've got but every now & then it's like, come on man....But like you said, he is what he is. And our defensive numbers with him on the court have been tremendous.

I will say I'm happy his FT shooting has improved so much. Form is still weird as hell, but it's going in more now which is all that matters. :tu
