Since I couldn't find that video, I made it myself :lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq8tgKJeEtY

It's my first video ever and I honestly didn't put so much effort into it so it's quite rough in terms of quality, but the content is there... :wakeup

One of the missed dunks is actually a block. Ayres also missed an easy layup at the end of a fastbreak so I hesitated to include it as well but finally decided to focus on dunks.

Enjoy! :flag:

Why? Making one for the end of game 6 too much work?

Per team policy players other than Timmy and Manu that dunk will get cut/send-to-Torros/traded within 72 hours.

Pendergraph found the loophole!

That was utterly embarrassing him missing all those dunks as tall as he is. On that first one he barely got his hand level with the rim!

I don't know what to say tbh... His jumps looked short, didn't he have knee problems? Could be damaged good tbh especially if he keeps throwing bricks from midrange...

Tiago missed a lot of paint attempts too that game. Except he looked like a pussy doing it. 6 and 1 with the end result I know, but still.

I could not stop laughing. :lol

That said, I'm starting to like this Ayers guy. He's big, fairly physical, athletic. Exactly the type of player the Spurs needed.

He's just an out of sync puppy right now. But I think he's gonna be a solid contributor against the bigger rosters the Spurs face.

Rather see the vid of Manu missing a three and not even clanging the rim. Dude looks like an old man out there.

Ayers just needs to keep practicing his dunking...I don't ever want to see that outside shot of his again.

He looked good tonight, against Churchill High school.

The first and the last are just PATHETIC! The other two in the middle I might give him a pass on and look like they were deflected some.

BTW the comments on this will be hilarious, he is gonna get flamed on that video man from all fans of all teams.

Jeff Ayres = Big for no reason. When you can't do things that big men are supposed to do on the court, you are big for no reason.

Ayres is his maiden name tbh, it's obvious from the inability to dunk.

Exactly this. Unlike Blair he's no sieve on defense; Baynes is more familiar with the system so Ayers is getting more burn early on. When he catches up they'll make for a very solid rotation behind our big (as in size) three. Let's just hope Bonner takes a permanent place on the injured list or is moved by the deadline.

Yup, and Ayres looked like a serviceable big. A couple of dunks, some good passes, hustling on the boards. I hope the "real Ayres" is the one we saw against the Wizards rather than the one against the 76ers. The jury is still out on this one...

Meh...a couple of them were contested, and the first was a mistimed jump. Only number 4 was unforgivable. The rest were circumstantial.

the first was a mistimed jump

Oh sorry. So if we remove "mistimed jump" + the times when:
- he didn't jump high enough
- there were players within 5ft when he attempted the dunk
- the ball hit the rim
- he threw it down with too much force
- he had a glare in his eyes
- the ball wouldn't cooperate

then I guess he didn't miss any dunks.

My sincere apologies for believing he did.

Oh sorry. <irrelevant nonsense deleted>

My sincere apologies for believing he did. The sarcastic apology is unnecessary. For starters, all the superfluous garbage is not germane to the point. I've seen lots of players blow uncontested dunks/layups/etc. I've seen even more get turned back by decent defense, and hundreds of badly timed jumps. My opinion hasn't changed: too much is being made of "four missed dunks." It's not like the guy had four clear dunk attempts and blew them all, and it's not like we haven't seen plenty of good players have the same thing happen to them.

If I've learnt anything about Ayres over the last couple games, it's that he's more than capable of dunking with no defender infront of him. Throw in some defense, and it's not pretty.
