A company in Austin has made a working 1911, 45cal pistol using a 3D
printer and metal power. This pistol has shot 500 rounds without a failure
to the frame or the ammo. This makes gun control a joke as you will
be able to make your own using a high tech 3D printer. Although these
printers are not widespread yet and are costly, how long before the price
will come down were you can make unlimited items with a CAD program.
A non metal pistol has also been made with a 3D printer. There is a new
ammo being developed that has no shell casing. The composite bullet and
casing go out the barrel together. This type of weapon is very dangerous
as it can have no reading on metal detectors. This is very hi-tech right
now but like new inventions it will probably filter down to everyone in
the future. You can outlaw this technology but who do you think will find a
way to make untraceable weapons.

The all metal pistol is new. This is a new process. They have made lowers for the AR rifle
platform out of polymers for some time now.
