I have posted some fucked up shit in the past that may have been offensive to certain posters on this board.....

I would like it to be known that I have a drinking problem. Some already know this.

I sometimes drink a 12-pack or more a day by myself.

During those periods I have posted replies and topics that the next day I regret... sometimes avoiding certain locations like "The Club" because I have embarrased myself speaking out of tounge.

Ohh, I remember what I post, dont get me wrong... but I think on it the next day and feel really embarassed about it sometimes.

I have this same problem in real life... I speak my mind when I shouldnt be so forth-coming. I piss people off even when I dont intend to. It's in my nature to be fourthcoming.

I wont go into detail but I will admit I have a problem with alchohol, I cant remember the last day I went without a drink, and thats been over 10 years. It scares me, but I am not ready yet to face it.

I plead you to keep in mind this though... I Do NOT smoke cigarettes at work... It makes me sick having a cigarette until after 5pm and without a beer in hand... and as far as any alchohol is concerned, I dont have drinks during lunch unless my boss himself is buying them....

Its hard to explain... I can control myself during the work day, no problems, no cravings at all during the day.. either cigarettes or Beer.... but once work is done, all bets are off.

Im not some plastered fuck that caries a flask to work... I can do without... But I know I also have a problem with it.... The main problem with that is that I dont feel like Im ready to take the addiction on.

Im going to be 31 come March 10th.

I have sky dived, been mountain biking all over Texas and other states, Been Kayaking for the past 2 years on some of the best waters Texas has to offer, raced at Alamo Dragway and the new San Antonio Raceway... But here I am, still shitting my life away on alchohol....

Damn, I really need to take a hold of my life.

First off, I will say I don't know shit about creationist theory, if it even is a theory. I always thought that it came about because a certain tiny sect of Christians were fed up and reacting to the scientific community since they were winning the battle of what was taught in schools, and thus to counter the no religion in schools and government stance.
To my way of thinking it was ridiculous.

Both sides, "is a God" versus "isn't a god", have taken this stuff too far and have blown it all out of proportion.
It has gotten to the point now where formal education cannot say school is out for "Christmas vacation" anymore because it insults the nonChristian community and violates the separation of church and state.
No, they have to say it is Winter vacation or some hogwash like that.

Evolution theory is pretty much accepted by most critical thinking academia, and rightly so, but it is not a proven law, it is still very much a theory. Whereas gravity is a law, yet the theory of gravity is still theorized. There is still very much about it we do not understand.
There is still very much about evolution we do not understand as well, thus why it is still just a theory.

As for God? Who can understand that concept? It is pretty much a mystery, either way.

If there is a God, then fantastic.
I seriously doubt He would be as narrow minded as many humans are.
I doubt He would hold it against a good and decent law abiding moral man just because that man chose not to believe in Him, or because other religious men said God would punish him for not believing in Him. That is a very narrow point of view IMHO and belittles God to the extreme.

And if there isn't a God, then why is it so important for someone who does not believe to make such a big deal against those who do?
We don't make a such a big deal about believing, or not believing, in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, the Easter bunny, Valentines Day Cupid, leprechauns, dragons, unicorns, or UFOs, do we?
So why all the hoopla?
Why all the butthurt?

The religious community is butthurt because they believe the court system has gone too far, while the legal establishment is butthurt and reacting to court suits that maintain separation of church and state, and they have gone too far.

Both these points of view are extremes and miss the central point IMHO.
That point is "too much, or too little, of ANYTHING is not good for you, there needs to be a balance."

If God does not exist, then fine, because ultimately, what difference will it make?
None.
And if He does exist, then fine too, because He is so far beyond anyone's conception that no man as of yet can understand Him, we only have bits and pieces that make sense. And no religious book or books have even a clue. They are guesses at best.

So again, why all the hoopla?

Yet the Christian stance is that the OT is the word of God, it's still part of their bible, and no it wasn't done away with. Christians just ignore the sacrifice because it's cheaper to do so. They instituted a pay online system and gave themselves unlimited free minutes to God.

Evolution is the theory that best explains all the available evidence we have collected about how life changes over time on our planet. That is why it is taught in schools.

First off, I will say I don't know shit about creationist theory, if it even is a theory. I always thought that it came about because a certain tiny sect of Christians were fed up and reacting to the scientific community since they were winning the battle of what was taught in schools, and thus to counter the no religion in schools and government stance.
To my way of thinking it was ridiculous.

Both sides, "is a God" versus "isn't a god", have taken this stuff too far and have blown it all out of proportion.
It has gotten to the point now where formal education cannot say school is out for "Christmas vacation" anymore because it insults the nonChristian community and violates the separation of church and state.
No, they have to say it is Winter vacation or some hogwash like that.

I would like it to be known that I have a drinking problem. Some already know this.

I sometimes drink a 12-pack or more a day by myself.

During those periods I have posted replies and topics that the next day I regret... sometimes avoiding certain locations like "The Club" because I have embarrased myself speaking out of tounge.

Ohh, I remember what I post, dont get me wrong... but I think on it the next day and feel really embarassed about it sometimes.

I have this same problem in real life... I speak my mind when I shouldnt be so forth-coming. I piss people off even when I dont intend to. It's in my nature to be fourthcoming.

I wont go into detail but I will admit I have a problem with alchohol, I cant remember the last day I went without a drink, and thats been over 10 years. It scares me, but I am not ready yet to face it.

I plead you to keep in mind this though... I Do NOT smoke cigarettes at work... It makes me sick having a cigarette until after 5pm and without a beer in hand... and as far as any alchohol is concerned, I dont have drinks during lunch unless my boss himself is buying them....

Its hard to explain... I can control myself during the work day, no problems, no cravings at all during the day.. either cigarettes or Beer.... but once work is done, all bets are off.

Im not some plastered fuck that caries a flask to work... I can do without... But I know I also have a problem with it.... The main problem with that is that I dont feel like Im ready to take the addiction on.

Im going to be 31 come March 10th.

I have sky dived, been mountain biking all over Texas and other states, Been Kayaking for the past 2 years on some of the best waters Texas has to offer, raced at Alamo Dragway and the new San Antonio Raceway... But here I am, still shitting my life away on alchohol....

You see, Scientific theory is CALLED a theory for a reason.... It can NEVER be proven, but CAN be disproven. Just like gravitational theory. We know gravity exists, but just because it is a theory doesnt mean it is false. We KNOW gravity exists, but we don't fully understand it yet, hence the term "Theory."

Science is a self-correcting art. That is why just about everything in science is called a THEORY.... I had no idea, I haven't seen stand up on tv since last comic standing back in 2003 and I don't go to comedy clubs unless I'm bored and want to try out new material on open mic night. Not all explanations are equal in measurable validity.

If I go to a restaurant, order an omelette, then go to the bathroom to wash my hands, and find an omelette waiting for me at my table when I get back, I could explain that by magical pixies or aliens, or maybe the people running the insider 9-11 conspiracy hired agents to plant that omelette there.

The bullshit textbooks take those fossils and make fake drawings of ape like humans and lie about the dates to promote the religion that "Evolution" .

Hell look at phyzix he defends and promotes Evolution like a Mormon promotes John Smith he is so wrapped up defending Darwin he can't see the big picture. The truth is 90% of people who support Evolution do so because they think the only alternative is God and the bible . That is not true. Actually no. You're debating is without the "de". It's just baiting. You intentionally use logical fallacies and misdirection. You fail to evaluate reasons, you don't use scientific method. You just use the fraction of the gap that remains to pretend you might have a case that someone else cannot disprove because of unknowns. Basically you want the shed the onus of proof for your assertions and call science bunk. I happen to give you more credit than that since I think you probably know as much about science and scientific method as most here, you just prefer to entertain yourself with the facade of ignorant repetitious nonsensical debate tactics.
