It's disgusting how much disrespect Duncan has gotten this year. He's giving it all on the court
He is pretty old... he's bound to fall off the cliff sometime. There's no shame, he can still be useful defensively.

yes he had a horrible 1st half, a little better in the 2nd. but all around bad game for Duncan who is in a deep slump
Duncan should retire in about 2 years. Ride these out and just wait around for the playoffs to see what happens.

Statistically speaking, rebounds are the greatest indicator of health in a big man.
Duncan is still close to 10 boards a game.
He's fine. Shooting streaks will come and go, and Tim is forcing some stuff right now that he normally wouldn't.
He looked good tonight, his shot was just off. That's all.

He is averaging 7.1 rpg a game in 28 mpg
In the 11-12 season he averaged 9 rpg in 28 mpg
His 3-13 performance dropped his career low shooting percentage from 39.4 % to 34.5 % he's 39-113 from the field.
Its certainly concerning. At 37 a big drop in production should be expected for any player but Duncan isn't just any player though.

Indeed. I should have been more clear. The Big Three are only 74 more wins from the all-time record by a trio. Also, Pop should get to 1000 wins if he stays next season. Even if next year is just a farewell tour, we as fans will have a lot to look forward to.

No, he's not. Duncan's career average total rebound percentage is around 18.5%. Last year, for example, he was at 19.1%(third best in his career). This year he's at 14%...a career low by a considerable margin. Very, very concerning. His On/Off numbers are also not looking too good(check out Bruno's thread)

Yup. Most people don't understand how hard it is to have a season like TD did last year at his age. Kareem and Malone are the only other 37 year olds to have played as well as TD did at that age. It's a rarity.

Tim is moving well. If his J was falling no one would be saying anything. He had 9 rebounds tonight. He's fine. He's obviously in decline but that's not news, and no one was under the delusion that he was going to be as good this year as he was last. The last four games he's played in he's averaging 9 rebounds.

Timmy has looked very poor - no touch around the basket, flat jumpers, hasn't been the force on D he was last year. In fact, it looks like his body has regressed a bit given that he can hardly jump, and that could be putting his decision-making off too.
We could be witnessing the physical and psychic hangover from a horrible 2013 for him: Game 6 and Game 7 (which would have broken a lesser man), and his divorce on top of that. The guy is HUMAN after all, which some of those around here forget is true of ALL OF OUR PLAYERS... Tony, Manu, Kawhi, Boris, Tiago, Patty, etc. - not a robot among them! :lmao :rolleyes
Still, we're only about 1/8 of the way through the season, so there's plenty of time for him to find his game again. Let's all hope he does. :)

Well, I've always felt that Parker/Ginobili were overrated by Spurs fans and the 2013 Finals proved it. Manu had one of the all-time worst Finals performances in game 6 and Parker lived up to his reputation as a playoff choke-artist in game 7. Disappointing that Duncan didn't have a Gasol-level sidekick to step up and help him like Kirby had in game 7 against the Celts. Hell, Gasol carried Kobe that game too. Then again, if Duncan had Phil Jackson coaching him SA never would have lost game 6 in the first place.

Probably. I got hit in the chest with a straight elbow like Tim did one time, and it took two weeks to fully heal. First week was really painful, 2nd was lingering pain that hampered your movement. At Tim's age, I am sure it might take 3 weeks to fully heal.

It was nice to see him get to the FT line. He knocked in like 6 straight all great looking FT's too. Sometimes, that's all a player needs to get going. He took a shot from almost the top of the key when the whistle was blown (like players tend to do) and he knocked it down. Unfortunately he didn't get another shot after that, but he did knock down a bunch in row.
His mobility is still there for the most part, and that's the main thing. He'll have a coming out game to get him going and put ridiculous threads like this to rest.
